New Orleans or Miami is my guess

In that case, I am hoping for NO.  I am not a Heat hater, but I want to root for the kid and I don't really want the Heat to have yet another asset.
Since I don't at all expect him to stay in one piece at all, I wouldn't be opposed to having Miami sink resources in him.

It'll be just our luck, Mia gets him and he stays healthy, they all stay together by taking even less money and he and Lebron lead them to 5 more chips...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Amen to that. They have wizards in PHX. Maybe the water?

I really see Miami being a terrible place for him to land if his goal is to resurrect his career.

Miamis goal is winning a championship not babying an apparent egomaniac

The two things are not mutually exclusive. See: James, Lebron.

And anyway why is Oden an egomaniac? I must have missed something.

Lebron james is the reigning mvp and best player in the league.

They don't need to worry about monitorimg him.

Oden hasn't played in years. Investing alll the coaching staff, medical teams, trying to build his confidence, experiencing with his minutes, him missimg several games etc etc does not seem to be something Miami would do. I just don't see them havimg the payience when yhey are in win now mode.

Egomaniac stems from the world tour he's been on visitimg just about every team for the last 6 months. That and mostly every time I've heard him speak (when healthy)

Actually people have been talking about Phoenix tanking because of all their trades, but they're really just clearing roster space.

In 2014-2015 they're going to sign Shaq, Nash, Amare, Brandon Roy, Eric Gordon and Oden all for the vet minimum and go 64-18 on their way to a championship.

I just talked to Mike Conley, agent for Greg Oden. Gave some details on Oden such as when he'll make decision, etc.
--Conley said Oden still plans to be make his decision tonight but nothing is super imminent since he has a call with a team around 6:45 p.m. So the decision could still be a few hours away.

--Conley said the Miami Heat are still very much in the mix.

--Of the six teams that are involved, Conley wouldn't give specifics but said "some he's leaning toward more than others.'' Those teams are Miami, Dallas, San Antonio, Atlanta, New Orleans and Sacramento.

--Asked if Oden told him he'll make his decision tonight, Conley said, "We're talking about it.'' Then reiterated it will get done tonight.

Its kinda funny how long it took the C's to let Shav go, and then Oden is going to make his decision... :P

Likely not happening though...:(

well, we're not even on the list of teams he's considering anymore. I think that ship sailed when we signed Faverani, who imo will produce more than Oden next season.

What basketball player with any consideration for their career would willingly want to go to Sac?

I think FAV could be a good player, and would be most likey healthier then Oden. I just think its funny that DA moves Shav and still doesn't get under the cap. and it just leaves a foreign Center that has never played in the NBA and a D-leaguer that can't find his way into the rotation.

Still don't think its happening. It would just be crap luck to miss out on Oden and he ends up playing a solid 5 years with out much injury by some miracle.

Im just really wondering why DA took so long with Shav just to toss him last minute.
