Tufts Medical, or the Florida Orthopedics Institute, the choice is looming.

Long term success in a low pressure environment maybe NO is the best choice.  If everything goes right he could win a championship within the next few years in Miami, but not sure if a pressure environment will be good for him after not playing the past few years.

Danny might pull another Brad Stevens move where nobody saw it coming.  Hopefully he lands in Boston.  If not, moving on

This could be meaningless long-term... but it also could be the most underrated signing of the entire offseason if he ends up playing as well as he did prior to his injury.  In his mere 82 games, he actually was NOT bad.  He was at times a dominant force.  His per-36 minute numbers were really solid.  He just hadn't caught up to the NBA pace and was in consistent foul trouble... which is similar to a lot of defensive-minded centers when they first enter the league.

I'm bummed that Boston seems to have fallen out of the race.  I would really have loved to have him in the mix.

"Sources said Cleveland, Boston and Memphis, in addition to the six finalists, all expressed interest in Oden, but those three teams declined to make a formal offer."

That bums me out.  I'd totally take a chance on Oden.

In that case, I am hoping for NO.  I am not a Heat hater, but I want to root for the kid and I don't really want the Heat to have yet another asset.

Since I don't at all expect him to stay in one piece at all, I wouldn't be opposed to having Miami sink resources in him.

Yours is the logical conclusion, but you never know for sure.

I really see Miami being a terrible place for him to land if his goal is to resurrect his career.

Miamis goal is winning a championship not babying an apparent egomaniac

The two things are not mutually exclusive. See: James, Lebron.

And anyway why is Oden an egomaniac? I must have missed something.
