My hope: RR, AB, JG, KO, JS

My fear: RR, AB, JG, BB, KH

LOL your fear is something I didn't think of but it doesn't sound too far off with a change in the KH position... I just don't see him starting b/c he may not be here and I think Sully gives more than he does defensively and offensively, then their rb may be a wash if Sully is healthy.

Edit: I almost forgot about Bass b/c I think he is a bench player who HAD to start b/c of no other options. I really like BB, he does it on both ends and he's getting paid right, I just think it should be from the bench where he can lead and provide a sure thing from our bench bigs, with Hump as the center.

I think they'll still be cautious with JS at the start of the season, which leads to my fear scenario.

Assuming Rondo, Sullinger, Bradley (playing, but hurting) are injured.

Bass
Humphries
Olynyk
Green
Lee

This group provides a combination of rebounding, speed, offense and defense.

Olynyk may not start, but he'll play starter minutes.  My feeling (as of now) is that he'll elevate the performance of others on the court with his keen passes and offensive savvy.

I know there isn't a lot of love for Bass, but he's more solid (not better)than Wallace.

This is an interesting OP because it makes us realize how valuable Humphries now becomes with the departure of KG and Pierce. I'm doubting more and more that he'll be traded.

Moe, Larry, Curly, Shemp and Curly Joe

a line up that would win 5-10 more games than any lineup stevens will put out there.  ;)

Assuming Rondo isn't ready, I'm going out on a limb and say Pressey starts.

He is our only true point guard and Ainge/Stevens obviously think a lot of him. His ball handling and court vision are far superior to AB. Also, would love to see the defensive pressure that AB/Pressey would provide together. That will be fun and something to look forward to this season in spots.

Pressey
Bradley
Green
Bass
Humphries

My suspicion is that it's going to be Bradley/Lee/Green/Bass/Humphries.

Which hurts my brain, 'cause AB is less than stellar running the offense.

Rondo hates to lose at anything, so I assume he wants to make it back from his injury as fast as anyone.  Will he likely be on limited minutes, however?  Sure, that could very well happen.  And if he is, I expect him to start and be taken out early, rather than coming in off the bench.

If he's ready to go, you're right.

Personally, I think he won't be game-ready until somewhere between the winter holidays and the All-Star break.

It's times like these I really just want a time machine.

I believe Bass will start if not traded.  However, i do think he will be moved when an injury forces another team to make a move during training camp.
Note: i am not saying he should start or be traded, just that he will.

Bass lost his job to Sullinger last year. But this year he will win the job back?

I meant opening night Bass will start, simply because they won't want to rush Sully.

I didn't realize that I only had one guard in my previous line up.

My prediction assuming Rondo, Sullinger and Bradley are not fully available would be:

Bass
Humphries
Green
Lee
Pressey

Olynyk and Brooks first off the bench.

Assuming Rondo, Sullinger, Bradley (playing, but hurting) are injured.

Bass
Humphries
Olynyk
Green
Lee

This group provides a combination of rebounding, speed, offense and defense.

What's wrong with Bradley--are we just assuming now that he'll hurt himself again soon?

My feeling is that we might be better off with Rondo being in street clothes until late November. My reasoning is that this team needs an identity and some on court leadership without him. My guess is that we see a more or less veteran lineup to start the year becasue they will pick up the new offense and defense more quickly.

PG Bradley
SG Lee
SF Green
PF Bass
C Humphries

Wallace, Sullinger (if Healthy)and Brooks are the bench to start with. When Rondo comes back, Bradley or Lee joins the bench mob. Pressey, Olynyk, Favarini and the rest will need a couple months to learn the system and prove they are NBA ready. Melo hasnt proven anything yet so I dont include him untill he does. I wouldnt be surprised to see both Green and Wallace at the wings together with Rondo and two bigs.

I think the better question to pose is what will be the rotations to start, at mid-season, and at the end.  But I'll play along.

Pressey
Bradley
Green
Bass
Humphries

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
