I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

really cool... but i got fired after my second season. i saw that we were going nowhere. i inherited 6 above average point guards (2 all star level, one near all star level). i had to gut the team and acquire picks. unfortunately, picks don't seem to be as valuable in the sim as in the current nba. i saved a bunch of money the second season and got some good prospects too.

wish i could have at least played out that third season and draft...

it does give you the option to export your roster to a new league, which i did to see how the team would perform. but i lost all of my extra draft picks. i had like 8 first round picks over 4 years or something like that.

Make sure you guys keep visiting http://www.reddit.com/r/BasketballGM/ occasionally, since there are real NBA rosters for the game being released there as well as customization for team names etc.

Lastly, the game currently works best with the latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

went through it once got fired just before the 5th season, made the playoffs but lost 3 of the 4 years and I started losing money.

Started again and have two titles through 4 years (as well as another finals appearance).  I think I figured it out it a lot better the second time around.  The draft is good if you can get a top tier player, but otherwise I mostly just take the best big guy available.  The key I've found is to make trades before your guys get to old and to clear out cap space to sign the top tier free agents.

This is kind of fun. But it'd mean a lot more to me if these were with actual NBA players. Random names, random stats, I have no real clue what I'm doing.

How does one upload custom stats?
DKC League is now on reddit!: http://www.reddit.com/r/dkcleague
