This is kind of fun. But it'd mean a lot more to me if these were with actual NBA players. Random names, random stats, I have no real clue what I'm doing.

How does one upload custom stats?

Make sure you guys keep visiting http://www.reddit.com/r/BasketballGM/ occasionally, since there are real NBA rosters for the game being released there as well as customization for team names etc.

Lastly, the game currently works best with the latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Yeah, looked there, didn't see anything.

I'm up to 2033 (the second time around) so for me even if I started with actual rosters, they would be useless at this point anyway.  Pretty fun game, though I'm sure it will grow tiring at some point in the very near future as there really isn't a ton of variety or things to do.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Using those custom rosters enables real team names (Boston Celtics instead of Boston Clovers) and player images on their profiles. There are constant improvements being made to it, so it shouldn't get boring that quickly.

Have you all noticed the ability to change ticket prices and your spending on coaching, scouting, health, and facilities?  Just found that last night.  Very interesting stuff

Just some feedback.

I got bored, so I tried to rebuild after years and years and the attendance drops so fast you lose a lot of money and then get fired.  I mean I had over 600 million in stored cash, had 3 seasons where I lost some money during a rebuild (acquiring draft picks and what not) my cash went down to like 550 million and I was fired after having been there for 30 years, with multiple titles and playoff appearances in like 24 of the first 25 seasons (with 1 over the last 5 during my rebuilding phase).  Just too hard to go through rebuilding since the attendance drops so rapidly, which makes the game unrealistic in that sense.

I didn't get a chance to play this one yet.

If you're interested, this is probably the best NBA GM simulation game available:  http://www.wolverinestudios.com/ddspb3.html

Draft Day Sports Pro Basketball 3.

It's pretty solid.  Certainly more in depth than any franchise mode you'd get with NBA live or 2k series.  Also, if you check the forums there are mods that allow you to download the real logos/team names/player pictures, etc. It's a lot of fun.

That said, it nothing in comparison to the UNBELIEVABLE brilliance of the "Out of the Park Baseball" series:  http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/index.php ...  I HATE baseball and yet I'm completely addicted to that game. It's by far the best GM sports simulation game I've ever seen.  The depth is extraordinary.   It's a real shame they don't have a game on that level for basketball, but Draft Day Sports Pro Basketball is about as close as you're going to get.

Ive got a question:

I'm in season 4, just won my first title.  My scouting, coaching, health, and facilities are all paid $20M (highest in league for each).

Before this offseason, players were always "eager to reach an agreement".  Now all of a sudden this offseason 2/5 of my FA's were "annoyed at you" and even though I had no money to sign any free agents, a lot of them were listed as "Rufuse!" where the Negotiate button is.

Any clues to why?

EDIT - Won another title the following season and free agency was back to normal.  Weird.

Just completed my third season with the Jazz and won the championship. :D Team was led by Lebron and Wall. James won MVP, DPOY and both made the NBA First Team.

Now I'm debating signing Love or Durant to join Wall and Bron. Durant wants $20 mil and Love wants $8.85. Durant is 78 Love is 73.

Ended up going with Love.

Starters:
Wall 73
Wesley Matthews 60
James 81
Love 73
Gobert 54

Per usual, this game is waaaay too easy and extremely unrealistic.  Fun, though.  Check out Draft Day Sports Pro Basketball 3... I think it's better.

I just traded a 2017 2nd rounder for the #1 pick in the draft.  I then traded some bench warmer for the #3 pick in the draft.  The game has a looong way to go.  Oh well.

...and I won the title my 2nd year in Atlanta behind superstar Ben Mclemore (dude averaged like 26 points, 13 assists, 7 rebounds, 2.5 steals on with 50%/45%/91% shooting) Andre Drummond, Nerlens Noel, Paul George and Michael Kidd Gilchrist ... plus my bench is filled with 5 of the best rookie prospects.

Aaaannnd... I'm bored.  Game is too easy.

I think Atlanta is the easiest level. I may be wrong though.

Meh... it's just extremely easy to exploit.  It doesn't value prospects at all.  That tends to be the issue with these games... the AI is stupid, the games lack realism and you can very easily build a dynasty.  I just went 80-2 and quit.
