Let's just say we went and traded Jordan Crawford, Brandon Bass and a future 1st to the Clippers for Jamal Crawford, would you be happy with the deal? Crawford is one of my favourite players in the league and this Celtics team needs a scorer.

Other than he's one of your favorite players, is there any other reason why we need him?

If Jamal Crawford is your idea of the scorer we need, we can do just fine with Brooks and the other Crawford.

The guy may just be one of the most inefficient scorers active in the NBA (he's a ball hog who shoots .410 for his career, and needs 13 shots to score 15 points).

His lack of defense will play dividends in the lottery.

He´s a complementary player for a competing team. No need for this young team.

You do realize it is impossible to make any deal with the Clippers until July of 2014 due to Stern's involvement in the Doc Rivers coaching change, right?

Not interested, think he's overrated and not giving up a 1st to get him to, let alone send more trade assets along with it.

I like Crawford, but we can't make any deals with the Clippers til a year after the Doc trade.

I don't care about getting any name buzzing FA or whatever you wanna call it. I'm just worried about our young guys this team is nowhere near contending within the next year or two, so just excited to watch our young guys develop.

As a consequence of this thread, I did some research comparing JORDAN Crawford (our player) with JAMAL Crawford (the Clipper).

WOW - Jordan Crawford is WAY worse, and it's not close. Maybe we could package him in a "maybe your GM is an idiot" package with Gerald Wallace.

Lol, I could've told you that without looking it up ;D
I like Jamaal Crawford. I remember with New York and Atlanta he was a sniper. I agree with the OP. He would be great to have because of his scoring.

Unfortunately, Captain Stern wouldn't approve.

The worst thing that we could do. Trade a first rounder for a me-first gunner who could help us maybe win 35 games instead of 32 games? How does this even remotely help us win the next title please? If you think this is a good trade or the direction we are going in, you are not paying attention at all.

This guy has always been a nightmare teammate until the last few years, when he's turned into a good scorer off the bench for a borderline contender. Maybe he could have been useful to us 2-3 years ago. Now, he's about the last guy you would want to add to this roster, especially if you have to give up a pick. We are hoarding those picks to help put together a title team. Not add Jamal Crawford to a lottery team. Awful idea. Truly terrible.

Showcase young talent. Trade them for more solidified players that can help us hang number 18 draft smart and draft well.
