Well its all but guarantee that the Toronto Raptors will have the #1 pick next season. If a college star wants to pick a team that he wants to go to, the NBA will make sure he is happy. Lebron, D-Rose, etc.

As much as I dislike David Stern, I don't buy the conspiracy theories....
Until the Lakers end up with the #1 pick next year and select him  :P

And then LeBron and Carmelo sign in the offseason....
If all that happens, I'll buy a round for celticsbloggers at some celticsblog meetup.
Celtics fan for life.

D Rose's example is so true.
its like he ordered a pizza,nd David Stern made sure he got the 9th in the "catalogue" and charged him 33-49  8) ;D

The Celtic's won't have the number one pick so I don't care where he plays.

I hope his wish comes true.  Small market teams getting marquee stars like Garnett, Duncan, Lebron, Durant have been very good for the league.  If they couldn't get these players and have the ability to retain them, a lot of these franchises would have no option but to fold.

I don't think I was disrespecting him. I was cleverly alluding to the fact that he doesn't know what the future holds. It's kind of lame to edit my post when I didn't insult him or call him a name or even say anything derogatory. I don't know what's so bad about saying "You can't see the future so stop acting like it".

If at all possible please un-edit my post.

What makes you think that? Even if you believe that the NBA rigs the lottery why would they care what Wiggins wants?

It was rigged in 07....But for the right reasons.  The tanking was so overt and shameless that the teams who participated all got the worst possible draft position.  T

I think the messiah and Rose draft situations add credence to the rigged contention.

It'll be interesting to see how Silver handles situations like this.  I'm most interested to see if he actually does something about officiating by the rulebook.

And Paul pierce wanted to be a laker.

Exactly. I don't believe in the draft conspiracy, because you can assign any narrative to any situation you want after the fact to make it Stern's doing.

I don't think they rig it because Toronto's not an important enough market.

if they rig it, i dont understand why Boston won't get the pick then. i mean, the Celtics bring the drama and the storylines and are the perfect rivals of the Lakers and Lebron. Your heroes are only as good as your villains.  :P

Paul Pierce wasn't projected to be a messiah.

Is this kid even near as good as everyone makes him out to be? I'm starting to be sick of him and I've never even seen him before.
