Let's say PP has a solid year next season (say, 15/5/4). IMO that seems more than likely. What kind of contract will he be looking at next year? He'll turn 37 next off-season, but the dude has been incredibly healthy. Very few swingmen have been this good this late into their career. What kind of offers do you think he'll get?

A 10 day contract with the Celts to retire as one.

I'm very fearful that he'd go to the Lakers.

I'm very fearful that he'd go to the Lakers.

Why?

There is nothing that indicates the Lakers will be anywhere close to contention, so why on earth would Paul go there?

Because the Lakers were his favorite team until he was drafted and they are his hometown team.  You think that is insignificant?

Things change. Just like he hated the C's and company growing up.

I don't think there's any question that he'll stay in New Jersey.  KG waived his no-trade to stay with Pierce; Pierce isn't going to then turn around and bolt, leaving KG behind.

I'd say he signs for two years, for anywhere between $6 and $9 million per year.  Random guess?  2 years, $15 million.

He gets a mid-level exception. New Jersey, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma, Cleveland, Chicago, and LAC are possibilities. I would not rule out a return to Boston either. I like him to play three more seasons.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Paul knows he is a Celtic legend and can never wear a Laker uniform.  For some reason I think KG knows this as well.  If they ever decide to play a year in LA, it will be in a Clipper uniform.

There Roy, fixed or for ya.

Agreed though, he stays with the Nets as long as Garnett is there and likely for the deal Roy suggested.

Paul Pierce next deal:

Finish out the year in Brooklyn, and then lay on a beach with a pina colada in hand in some tropical city.

If Danny do not win GM of the year for that scenario, I will start a riot :-p
