I will always root for my team to win. I expect the Celtics to go 82-0 every season.

This poster does not understand the mentality of "losing to win". Losing sucks, and it's bad for morale. Play for pride, not for ping pong balls.

Certainly not.

I can see the value in a high draft pick, but I prefer to see our team win games.

Never.

This is so contrary to what Celtic Pride is all about.

If I'm not rooting for them to win, why in the heck would I even watch?

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I don't really care what happens.  I they win, I'll be happy; if they lose, it won't bother me that much.

The things I'm going to be watching this season:

Rondo-Bradley backcourt
Green's ability to be a #1 option
Sullinger getting more touches in the post
Olynyk's effectiveness vs. real NBA players (SL means close to nothing)
Brooks and Crawford getting into a fistfight over having the ball
If Melo even plays, his man-to-man defense

I love watching the younger players develop and obviously want them to do well. But for this one season, while we are transitioning the team and getting Rondo and Sully back to full health, I would be delighted to see a lot of hard effort and spirited games that wind up in close losses.

When Durant & Jeff Green were coming up that team was fun to watch develop but they were still losing, and getting picks like Harden, Ibaka and Westbrook as they went.

For one season, with Rondo and Sully potentially missing time, I'd love to see us build the team while losing games. Winning the occasional hard fought game against a tough opponent and playing well is great. I think a lot of the guys on our roster are or will be great players for us, but we're a little young and not complete right now.

Finding a way to the lottery is best.
