How good do you think he'll be at his peak? Imo, he's very underrated. Before people started worrying about his injury last year, he was at #7 on DraftExpress' Mock Draft, a few days before the Draft.

Charles Barkley-ish if he stays healthy

Maybe David West.

I think DW may be fair if Sullinger stays healthy.  I think KO is more special, however.

Call me crazy, but I think, after a full season next year with 30+ mpg, Sully will already be as good as the likes of D.West etc.

Tough comparison, I don't like the David West one because I think Sully is a better rebounder but will never be the offensive post player West has been through most of his career.

I can't think of a really good comparison off hand.  If his back is really better and he loses weight, or at least fat, and gets more muscle and explosiveness then maybe someone more like Rodney Rodgers was at his best?  A tough guy down low on the boards who could step out and shoot the three but not as consistently as you'd like.  Although Rodney shot in the high 40%s once but was only around 4 to 5 rebounds a game.

I guess it depends on who is around him.  If we have another good rebounder on the floor with Sully his stats will go down.

He will never have the speed and explosion of a Charles Barkley so that isn't a good comparison at all.

Paul Silas

The kid's a winner so his stats arent THAT important. The main thing is he brings intangibles, leadership, and a clutch gene.

I put his ceiling as a better than Glen Davis and Brandon Bass but not a game changer.

Sullinger was a predicted top 7-8 pick before his back issues became apparent. In a draft that included Lillard, Waiters, Beal, Davis, Barnes, Drummond, and Kidd-Gilchrist. In other words, a draft with more expected talent than this one. Granted he stays healthy, there's probably a higher chance of Sully becoming an All-Star level player, i.e. West, than Olynyk.

Maybe a Brand/Boozer level of player. Barkley was a dominant player.

Adrian Dantley. He was clutch. Never knew how he got rebounds and never new how he kept getting baskets without getting blocked.

I don't think that actually matters in projecting his potential.  (Here is Chad Ford's mock in April 2012, which had him at 12, which is more realistically where he was before the back concerns anyway: http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/chad-ford-mock-draft-40)

I think Sully might top out like West, as a 2x All-Star.  KO's potential, I believe, is higher.

Adrian Dantley, the king of the three point play.

What part of his game reminds you of Barkley exactly? Barkley was a freak athlete who played with speed, and explosiveness a SF/PF hybrid with SG size. I think Boozer is a nice comparison. Soft hands, good re-bounder, but slightly undersized high skill level decent athleticism. I'd be happy if Sullinger ended up there and I don't think that's unreasonable.
