Perhaps because he's completely and irreversibly cooked at this stage of his career? His role would be to look good in a suit.

Probably third string SG/SF but I would like to see him as backup SF (with G.Wallace at PF almost exclusively). I think Bogans three point shooting could be useful to space the floor from that backup SF spot.

He was never too much offensively, and I don't think he can really defend anyone anymore. He's 33, so I don't really think he'll be anything more than an emergency body and trade fodder.

He's too small to play the SF position, and Wallace doesn't play PF anymore.

Bogans is okay at (reserve) SF. More of a two guard than a SF but he can play some SF.

Has very good bulk for a SG. Helps him defend bigger players.

He's not starting, but he can't be traded until January 15 because he was a S&T.

His role should be "guy who will be given playing time if necessary to prove to Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks that being a chucker who won't play defense will not be tolerated".

His role is at the end of the bench waving a towel after KO nails a three or Jeff dunks on somebody.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Well it's between him and fab Melo for victory cigar ate this stage.
Actually I like Bogans. For those who haven't seen him play he was once a very good 3 point shooter. Not sure if he's any good now but we don't have anyone who shoots 3s other than Green, lee and Crawford so he may get some burn.

Bogans defense is very physical too. One of those guys that likes to rough up his opponent-KG's kinda guy, almost dirty and cheap if he's not on your team. People will be surprised about how tough he is. If you need a thug to go after the opposing teams star SG or SF then Bogans will go and and make their life hell/hurt them.
Good team mate, and you'd probably remember him from the 2011 playoffs with the Bulls against Wade and the Heat+Hawks. Always gave Ray Allen hell and was extremely physical with Rondo, coaches love him for his defensive effort.
Good locker room guy while we're developing youngsters.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

So Bogans is going to make our roster?  *shocked*  well not really.  we have a bunch of nobodies, so bogans will probably fit right in.   ;D

He's excelled at his role in my opinion. Can't ask more of salary filler than what he's done. Well done Bogans.
