Honestly i have no idea and i'm not even that optimistic. I just think that we knew or atleast danny knew he was a project when he got drafted and you don't give up on 7 footer projects so soon. That's how mistakes get made.

At some point it isn't worth a roster spot any more.  What do you think he can improve?  It isn't like his jump shot is holding him back or his defensive positioning.  It is his...I don't know what to call it, motor, drive, something.  That thing that makes Sullinger find cracks in blockouts to wedge is way into and get rebounds.  That thing that gets people to move to go get the ball.  That is what Melo doesn't have.

I do see what you're saying and i don't disagree. I just think a year with actual Celtics (not the D-league) and actual practices can do wonders for him. Atleast for the coming year i think he's worth the roster spot.

I started a summer league prediction thread before the games started, I said Pressey would look like the best player on the Celtics.  While I didn't see Olynyk coming because to be honest I only watched him play once in college when the Zags played Baylor but I've seen Pressey play for awhile in the big 12.
