I'm on his bandwagon. Never heard of him before we drafted him. But I like his handles for a big, I like his shooting, and I like his attitude. But can someone tell me how to pronounce his last name?

Haha.  Ouch.

One thing they have in common is that they beat up on inferior competition, that's for sure.

His ceiling for me will always, at best, a bench big until he plays well when it matters. Fortunately for him, he'll have a whole season of no pressure.

His ceiling is the greatest player of all-time. His basement is the worst. That can be said for every player.

His ceiling is at least seven foot nine, otherwise it's hard to wear cool hats indoors.

I regret starting this thread but its intent was to say KO is clearly a better player then most of us thought when he was drafted.  Many of us thought at best he could be an Okur or B.Miller type player...but to me at least its clear that he can be better than that.  Unlike Sully last year he has playing against NBA players throughout most of this summer league....Nicholson, Jones, etc...and scoring at 20pts and close to 60% shooting.  I like his leadership on the team and I have hopes that we stole a good player in 'weak draft"

We won't know what he's got until he plays against the real competition for a few years but as I said he already looks like he'll be much better then I anticipated.

Not big on bandwagons or even optimism but I guess I'm on...

Anyone remember what Dirk looked like his first season?

Year    Team    G    GS    MPG    FG%    3P%    FT%    OFF    DEF    RPG    APG    SPG    BPG    TO    PF    PPG
98-99    DAL    47    24    20.4    0.405    0.206    0.773    0.9    2.6    3.4    1.0    0.6    0.6    1.55    2.23    8.2

Well it isn't going to let me put the stat line in there where it is easy to read.  Lets just say he averaged 8.2pts a game and shot 20% from three point land without many rebounds or assists.  Can Olynyk do that?  I believe so.
