is this guy credible? woj or stein haven't tweeted anything about ak47. Didn't he just opt out of a 10.2mil contract? seems strange he'd take only 3mil

Amazing if true.  Nick Young and AK taking massive pay cuts to play with their preferred teams.

Would be a great move for Brooklyn.  He should get around 16-18 mpg backing up Pierce and can also play some 4 if needed.

At this stage of his career, that is what Kirilenko should be doing.

excellent move both for the nets and for AK47. I'm really liking this Nets team now. I think they have a legit shot at knocking off the heat.

Tremendous signing.

I would have loved to have AK-47 here in Boston last year with the Big Three. He would have been so brilliant alongside those guys. Just a true when adding in B.Lopez and D.Williams (instead of Rondo) and JJ into the mix. Fantastic signing.

I think that Mikhail Prokhorov gave Andrei Kirilenko some cash (read millions) to sign this deal. He's rich and there's the Russian connection  :P

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Do you guys think that they are legit contenders now?

I think so.
I like Marcus Smart

At this stage of his career, that is what Kirilenko should be doing.

Kirilenko was very good last season. He was the T'Wolves best player and the main reason why Minnesota stayed as competitive as they did despite injuries to Kevin Love most of the year and missing Ricky Rubio for the opening part of the season.

Kirilenko is still a good starting forward at either forward slot and should be playing 32-34 minutes a night. He is still far too effective a player to be confined to a 16-18 minute a night backup.

The Nets should have him backup KG (28mpg) and give AK-47 20 minutes a night at PF and give him another 8-12 minutes a game at SF. Kirilenko is a great running mate alongside B.Lopez or A.Blatche with his disruptive defensive play and skilled offensive game.

They're the sort of team that looks like contenders on paper, but if they finished 6th in the East, would anyone really be shocked?
