I hate how today on the radio, Felger and Mazz is criticizing Stevens for being a "suck-up" to Rondo

I personally love that he did this. It's not sucking up. It's call bonding with your players. You cannot be a good coach if you do not know your players...ESPECIALLY your star player. He is making all the right moves and  hope he succeeds here in Boston

At least they've moved on. Listening to Felger talk about how the Hernandez situation is all Kraft's fault was getting really annoying. Honestly, Boston needs to move on from Felger and all of the other angry sports radio/tv hosts. They are no more informed than anyone here and it just makes me upset listening to them.

Anyway, great great move Stevens!!

Here's a video of it:

Rondo : "I will never play for the Miami Heat"

gotta love Rondo's loyalty and his hatred for Miami. I'm betting he's pulling for KG and Paul to knock of Miami this year.

I doubt that's what he's pulling for.

why not? He's competitive but he's not stupid, he knows the celtics aren't winning it next season

He may recognize that his team isn't a contender on paper, but he's going to try.  He's an elite competitor, and as such I don't think he'll sit back and say, "oh well, we can't win it, so I'm going to root for the two guys who left us to go play in Brooklyn."  I don't see it.

Agreed, one thing I think all Celtics fans know about Rajon is, when he is on his game, no one is stopping him.

no one said he's not going to try, I fully expect him to try harder than he ever has and have a great season, this is a big year for him. Nothing says he can't root for KG and Paul in Brooklyn in the meantime, it's not like we will be playing the Nets every night.

I actually dislike the move after watching the clip....Great if he's helping Rondo out and trying to get to know but enough of the Rondo praise....we've heard it and all know it...he's smart and gifted as an athlete..now he needs to follow the coaches plan and lead his team.

Brad is putting the ball in Rondo's court. He's probably pleasantly surprised to be getting this much positive and public attention from his coach.

I know everyone's worried about Rondo, but another name I'm worried about is Jordan Crawford. We knew how he was on a rebuilding Wizards team (granted that organization is known to be pretty inept with the way they handle their players).

He was reigned in by vets and Doc, but I really wonder how he's going to be now.

Rondo doesn't strike me as the type of guy to "root for [someone else] in the meantime."

These are the things I like to see. I hope Rondo is receptive to Stevens coaching.

There's no need to worry about Jordan Crawford.  Personally, I don't see him causing any trouble, but if he does, he'll be gone faster than you can say Jorda . . .

We seen a flash of his immaturity during the playoffs when he was yapping at Melo after that big win in NY. I'm really wondering about him.
