With A.Bradley + C.Lee already here, I think it is the wrong time to move for another role player level two guard who will require a multi-year contract.

Bradley and Lee?  I think he's better than both of them.  Trade Lee and whoever else for him.

Whoops, original post meant for different thread. But I like Henderson, sadly no room here for him now.

Wouldn't mind having him. Feisty player. Plus his dad used to be a Celtic.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Want.  I feel like a lot more people would know his name if he hadn't been stuck playing for freaking Charlotte for his entire career.

If there's anyone who would know his name, it's Celtic fans.

Let's get him and trade him to Seattle!!!!!!!!!  8)

I was thinking the same thing---since we traded his Dad for the Pick, that ended up being Len Bias----maybe some good would come out of trading FOR him...and KEEPING him-!

What if the Celtics pick we give them becomes #2 overall?!  :o
I like Marcus Smart

With the Bobcats looking to get better (as evidenced by signing Jefferson), would they be interested in bringing a veteran presence like Lee or Bass in?

I'm not sure I give up a pick for Henderson and I'm not sure how much I would sign him for, but I do know that as a big two guard he would probably be a better fit with Rondo and Bradley than any of the other one's and two's on the team.

When Henderson came out of Duke I thought he was going to be great, after watching him routinely killing my BC eagles. Then in his first two years he looked average at best, this year he finally took the step forward that I expected after watching him in college. He is long, he can drive, he can shoot and he can defender, I think if he goes to another team that isn't as awful he could really surprise some people with his play.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I read he is looking for $7.5 to $8.5 million per annum. I don't see anyone giving him that though so he will probably be available for $5-6 million per year.

Can he play the point?  Because for a third guard behind Rondo and Bradley, I'd be looking for a guy who can bring up the ball and run the offense instead of Bradley when Rondo is on the bench.

Can he play small forward?  Since it is hard to find a combo guard like that to come off the bench, I'd prefer to have a full-time backup PG who has no other position and have the big back-up two guard behind Bradley be a guy who can man both wing positions.

I'd be interested only if Avery Bradley remains the starting SG.

Meh. We need a better SG than AB to start. AB would be more effective coming off the bench. Yeah he played better than Allen a couple years ago, and was a better fit. But when PP,KG and Bass are jump shooters you need a slasher, and that worked.

Henderson is a better all around player right now. So he should start over AB especially if he's getting 7 mill. Unless AB has improved his jump shot, and plays a full season with out injury, you need to look for a replacement.

And looking at the next couple drafts there are very few SG's coming out so if you can get a Lee or Henderson type SG you get them. Can't rely on AB right now to be the go to SG. Still has things to prove.

The question is what is he looking for, if he can't get to agree with the team. My guess is he expect a Jeff Teague type of contract, otherwise he would just leave as a FA. If this is the case, there'll be no interest from us -- not that he's not better than any of our potential starting SGs, but the price isn't really right.

He is a very usefull PG. Considering Rondo to comeback in January, he can be a starter in this Cs team

I cannot believe how much interest there is here for Gerald Henderson. I would not want him on my team at all.

Except he's not a PG. But that's ok.

And by all accounts, he's on track for training camp. Either way we don't need him
