You know the Knicks are trying their darnest to get rid of Amare..good luck with that
Makes me think we are good trading partners with them... I'd gladly work with them on a deal centered around Amare and Gerald Wallace to shave a year off of Wallace's contract.
To match salaries, the Cs would have to include someone else in the trade, like Humphries. I honestly don't think it would be worth it, unless the Knicks included an unprotected first rounder or something like that. Amare is done, and has a huge contract that will make trades very difficult. I imagine that Wallace will be better this year, and Humphries has a very tradeable contract.
Amare & Prigioni
for
Wallace, Bass, & Lee
NY gets 3 solid bench players and saves a bunch of money especially with tax implications and savings. Boston gets out from Lee and Wallace a year earlier, picks up a decent asset in Prigioni, and you never know maybe Amare actually stays healthy and produces (and I think if he was healthy he would be great with Rondo).
Edited for Prigioni instead of Novak.
