My expectations are a minimum of 35 wins, hopefully more and a trip to the playoffs.
why would you want to go to the playoffs? you guys are delusional if you think this roster is even remotely close to making the playoffs, let alone being a championship contender.

we're tanking for wiggins

I never said I thought this team was a championship contender.  You are actually delusional if you think that's what I meant.  Either that or you just don't read too good.

We could win 25 games and it will still be more entertaining than last year in the same way that seeing a washed up, bloated old rock star at a Casino isn't as entertaining as watching a young up and coming garage band rock out at your local pub.

Interesting analogy.

Yeah, I think I'd rather go see a local band on the up-and-up thrash out a rough but effervescent set than go out to an arena to see The Rolling Stones, The Who, or Aerosmith creak and rasp around pretending to be who they once were.

My prediction:

1. We will have a top 12 offense and defense in the league.

2. We will make the playoffs comfortably.

3. We will win at least two games in the post season.

This seems reasonable. Once our roster is cleaned up and if we add any kind of talent (not anyone of any real consequence), I don't see how we don't make the playoffs. I know this is not what the pro-tankers want to hear, but our team isn't that bad. It's certainly not a 2nd round playoff team, but they could surprise a lot of people.

I wouldn't be so sure.  Our team having THAT much success this season would pretty much require that one of the first or second year players turns into an absolute star and wins rookie of the year.  So I think the pro-tankers would be just fine with that, because it would mean we'd already have the type of player that we'd want to get with a top pick anyway.

We win 25-30 games and pick high in top ten.  We play the youth and develop it.  They hold RR and Sully on IR to hurt the record at some point.

expectations?

play the youth, instill them with a winning attitude and hard work ethic regardless of their record.  move the vets/longer contracts if possible to acquire young assets or more picks

Come on now. That's ridiculous. With the roster we have now? Be realistic. I'd be content with something like:
Rondo MVP, 1st team defense, breaks various assist records, triple double record, All Star starting PG, All Star MVP, award for strongest recovery from ACL injury
Banner 18
Olynyk ROY, 18/9, leads rooks in scoring, assists, rebounds
Sullinger 15/13 leads league in rebounding
Jeff Green most improved player, 20/10/5, All Star reserve
Avery Bradley 17 points 5 assists per game, defensive player of the year
Ainge GM of the year
Banner 19
Fab Melo leads league in blocks per game, 12 points 7 rebounds per game, gets multiple votes for most improved player

We'll be better then most people think but not good enough for the playoffs. We won't get a top pick and we will never get this apparent wounder boy Wiggins. Boston never has luck with the ping pong balls, never will.

We don't need Wiggins.  Haven't you heard?  There are at least a half a dozen players in the 2014 draft who will be the next Lebron James.

So true. From what I hear it's the greatest draft of all time. The first 10 guys will be Co-rookies of the year and locks for the hall of fame. I'm not sure if I've ever seen so much darn talk about people we've never seen play college ball yet.

You're not getting it. There's a good chance we could end up with a true franchise player like all the ones in 2003. Maybe we'll get a Melo/Bosh level player and they'll lead us past the first round of the playoffs every once in a while.
