Fab Melo is not playing for his job in the summer league.  The Celtics aren't a dumb enough organization to make a decision about a guy who's already due $1.3 million based on four games in July with guys who mostly won't be in the NBA.  If he stinks in training camp, maybe they won't pick up his third-year option, but I doubt that happens either.

Fab Melo is not playing for his job in the summer league.  The Celtics aren't a dumb enough organization to make a decision about a guy who's already due $1.3 million based on four games in July with guys who mostly won't be in the NBA.  If he stinks in training camp, maybe they won't pick up his third-year option, but I doubt that happens either.

I was thinking they would trade Fab Melo to free up the roster spot.

Watched the game. Iverson doing what he was asked. Looks like a rookie in his first Summer league game cuz he was. Melo looked like a guy in his 2nd Summer league game but he isn't. Don't judge by the stats alone. He was no hands near the rim or greasy  hands? I dunno? I think Fab is done and Iverson is...not yet done. Depends on exactly what Brad wants from him.
