In spite of playing well, the Celtics dropped their first contest to the Orlando Magic.  The Pistons managed a 76-67 win over the Brooklyn Nets in their first game. 

Players to watch for the Celtics are Kelly Olynyk (25 points, 7 rebounds, 6 Fouls), Tony Mitchell (16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals) and Phil Pressey (11 points, 4 Ast, 5 TO)

For the Pistons, keep an eye on Khris Middleton (16 points, 6 rebounds), Andre Drummond (12 points, 16 rebounds, 5 steals), and their first round draft pick, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (4 points, 3 rebounds).

What a great test for the C's bigs--the athleticism of Drummond and the beefiness of old summer-league friend Kravtsov!  Old friend 3J as well.

I thought Andre Drummond had done enough last season for the Pistons to not have to prove anything at the Summer League? Is he being showcased for a trade?

He's like 19 years old.  He had 12 points, 16 rebounds, 6 blocks and 5 steals in the first summerleague game.  Kid is a beast.  Tons of potential.  Still very raw, though.

Seems like a small thing, don't know if many people would notice, but Olynyk passed up a pretty good midrange look to post up his defender right there. Seeing that in a "shooting" big is obscenely rare.
