Way way way way way too early to tell, but he certainly has the mentality and work ethic.

He got on top of Fab today and then for a spurt Fab played better.

He has the right attitude and work ethic.

He would just need about 5 more years experience to know if he's Capt material.

The Captain wasn't a Captain for a looooonnnggg while.

too early to tell, but I can already say he is a good leader, seeing him on the bench today just helping out is good to see.

Good to see how committed he is to the team

and the day KG walked in the door, PP ceased being Captain in all but name.

Sully is fine young player destined to be an NBA back-up.  No.

I don't know how one could be watching these games and not seeing KO as the natural leader for the team.  Sully may be trying hard to preempt that, but I think it's inevitable.

Wait so is Rondo going to be the captain for the celtics now? I figured they might just go without one.

Good points on sully.  But unless a veteran comes on board soon, I suspect sully will be the leader in a few years. This youngteam needs a leader and sully can do it with a bit more experience I think.

Green shies away from being the center of attention and play. Good player, but not a leader.

The only other player might be rondo. But I suspect he rubs too many people the wrong way. Plus the team meeting he called on the airplane a few years ago was a bad move. It only inflamed existing tensions and resolved none.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If he's on the team by then, sure why not.

There was a whole bunch of years there between Bird and Pierce where I thought it really dumb for there to have been a team captain.

We might be entering another phase of Celtic lore where maybe its best not to have a team captain rather than having marginal players like Rick Fox, Dee Brown, Dana Barros, Pervis Ellison and Antoine Walker be captains.

If a couple years from now Rondo or Sully or someone else has proven he is an all-time Celtic great and is a proven leader, then sure, make them captain. Until then, do the Celtics really need to give out that title?

Why would a future Laker care about anything the Celtics do.  ;) ;D
