A few hours away from one of the preludes to the beginning of a new era (start of the summer league). Every single piece of Celtic related news is having me jitter in excitement.

Quote
Stevens reached out to each player on the roster upon accepting the job and was pleased to receive responses from all of them.
“I heard back from everybody and they were great,” he said. “Jeff (Green) called right back and Jared (Sullinger) got right back to me. … The response for them has really been kind and good, so I’m looking forward to working with them.”
Stevens met Avery Bradley, who was at the Celtics practice facility, in person prior to his introductory press conference.

Doesn't surprise me that Sully and JG hit him back first. Not because of the alleged abrasive, antagonistic personality of a certain player on the roster. But because those two are the most active on the twitter-sphere alongside AB. They're probably the kids with their faces glued to their iPhones and gadgets and whatnot (no hate, love both).

And how about Stevens. A heck of a personality it appears. I hope he stays the way he is and has a lot of success with the team in the long run.

Edit: Fixed. Hope it's better!

Everytime I see bfrombleacher, he's always crediting other sites from stories that aren't theirs. In this case, it's reds army. This is not Red's - it's csnne.  This is not a personal attack, rather a heads up. Because its just not right that some of these journalists work hard, day and night. They should get the credit they deserve.

It looks like he's mentioning where he grabbed the article from not giving them credit for breaking the story. I think that expecting people who wanted to link to stories to do enough research to figure out where the story originated and give credit to the original journalist is overly onerous.

Regardless of the article it was the right move to make, I don't see Pitino or Cal reaching out because of their arrogance.   It shows Brad is cut from a different cloth.

I want to know if he has friended every player on Facebook already.

This is good news, but I ask a simple question: What else is the guy supposed to do? He is a college coach moving to the pros. He knows how difficult this is going to be and he wants to make sure he makes all of the right moves with the players. I think there would be a story here is he had not reached out to all of the players. As a former journalist, this is why I dislike much of the media today. Constantly making stories out of nothing.

No win either way.  If there are no stories, people complain that we need news.  If uninteresting blather is reported, we complain that media are stating the obvious or over-reporting.  We live in a moment to moment news world.  When people post to facebook (as if anyone cares) that they just showered and now are getting ready to eat breakfast, I guess by comparison everything is newsworthy.

I hear you, but I don't see the news in the fact that a new coach called all his new players. It is actually silly.
