I can see the Clippers heading to the Western Conference Finals now with the past few signings during their offseason...

Or are they still overrated as always?

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
CP3 and Collison reunited.

Good pickup.  Maybe Doc can help him regain the confidence he had during his rookie year.

Strange decision to go to a team where he (1) will only get 15mpg and even less in the playoffs, and, (2) only received a very small payday. What? $2-3mil per annum?

I can't believe nobody offered him a better job than that. If that was the best offer on the table, D.Collison needs to fire his agent.

Great signing for the Clippers. Major reinforcement for their bench considering how little money they had to offer.

This exactly. I mean, the kid is only 25 years old and from what I could tell, he capably filled in as Dallas's starting PG before getting into Carslile's doghouse.

Collison knows he is not worth more than that. Good luck to him on the Clippers were he will not be coached.

Wow. Great move for the Clippers. The free agency just keeps getting stranger... Collison could have gotten a much better deal elsewhere.

If Barnes did that, he is an idiot. Every year the guy fails to get a good deal and then outperforms his pay check. Now he is finally getting a decent deal.

I would think that he is the last person they should be expecting to foot the bill for another PG.

If I'm Collison I take a couple mil per for 2yrs to be on a contender. Then when he hits his prime he can go elsewhere for the money. I know most people go for the money while they are young but this is the kind of opportunity you should take if you care about winning. Any team that could pay him more would not be a contender.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Would love to have Collison for that kind of money; but he obviously wanted to go to a contender. Unfortunately for C's if Rondo stays, limited minutes here as well and limited playoff prospects.

This is similar to what I'm thinking: He's hardly gonna get to play. Are the Clips becoming the West Coast Heat, where players want to go just to get a ring, even if it means barely playing?

I don't know if they will, but I think that a lot of people think that, including some players apparently.

What he really wanted to do was go home. But still, it makes me sad. I would have been thrilled to have had Collison for even twice that.
