How have I not seen this? So all the speculation on Rondo's personality and whether he gets along with coach gets frontlined, while this gets swept under the rug? Unbelievable.

Quote
"I don't really know a timeline, but when they did the surgery -- and I hate to put pressure on the player -- but I think his goal and a very realistic goal is to be ready Opening Night," Ainge said following head coach's Brad Stevens introductory press conference. "I'm guessing that training camp will be maintenance, maybe not do two-a-days, maybe miss a day here or there, but I think that our objective is he'll be ready Opening Night. I haven't heard anything that's suggested otherwise."

Sweet, he had also made mention of something similar during the Stevens press conference which I alluded to here:

It's been said for a while that Rondo should be ready for tha start of tha season. Sullinger too. Can't wait to see both back out on tha court. I missed Rondo's hat tricks and Sully's rebounding. I think Rondo will have a great comeback season tho. Dude is tough and very competitive.

And some people here think Rondo wouldn't be playing for half the season...

Let the "I told you so" chatters begin!

I told you so!

Anyways, good to have Rondo back with us by as soon as training camp!

I'll say this again: Rondo *will* break the all-time record for assists in a season.

There are alot of months left still to recover, condition and get into peak shape.

Rondo likely won't play the type of minutes he was used to before (like sometimes the whole game).

I predict 20 minutes a game the first few months, than increase to 30 than ideally to 35.

I'm hoping Pressey impresses bc id love to have him be our 2nd pg.

Or Danny could be pumping his tires so as to improve his trade value.

Now I don't claim to have any idea or any real opinion as to when I think Rondo will be fully recovered. Nor does anyone else that posts here.

If this is true, this is good news whether you are in the trade Rondo camp or the don't trade Rondo camp.

If he couldn't do it with Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett... what makes you think he'll be able to do it with Josh Smith, Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe?  He'll need some shooters.

Wow!

I'm stunned that you think we are getting Smith, Drummond, and Monroe.
