I think Sully might be a while coming back and working his way into game shape...

Rondo/Bradley/Green/Wallace/Hump would be my starting 5, and they make the playoffs easily at a respectable 45-37.

Off the bench:  Olynyk, Sully, MBrooks, Bass, & Lee.

Rondo could push that team to a 6th seed with a light tailwind.

i see. i was not aware that the celtics would be a better team with wallace and humphries rather than having pierce and kg play for them.

with pierce and kg the celtics were merely 41-40, but the team is about 4 games better since wallace and humphries replace them?

we shall see, we shall see.

Except for the minor fact where we missed our best player and second best big man for half the season, you are correct.

Right.  Counting on Rondo coming back 100% and getting the most out of every player on the floor.

Scoring from Green & Wallace on the move, hoping for some sharp defense from Bradley/Green/Wallace around the perimeter...

last year with rondo playing, the celtics w-l record was 18-20. that is, they were below .500 with rondo playing, over .500 with rondo not playing.

we have reason to be skeptical on what he might bring to the celtics this year, even when he does finally start and get into shape.

and honestly, it is fair to ask whether rondo can make pierce and kg's replacements better than pierce and kg. i like rondo, but it is fair question to ask.

Lol, no.  This team is going to win 25-38 with a healthy Rondo... less than 25 without him.

Don't worry... lotto teams don't have a lot of nationally televised games.

Yeah, good point, he might go off.

And that team is not making the Playoffs.

Why do we want to be a playoff team?

I don't want us to be a playoff team so I am going with "no".

With some of the other non 2013 playoff teams upgrades in the East we will not be making the playoffs.

The Celtics were 41-40 with KG and Pierce and basically every team in the league improved this off season.  I really don't get the posters on this site sometimes.  We won't win 30 games

I'll go out on a limb and say that every team in the league hasn't improved. Some will be better, some will be worse.

IMO lineup

Starting - Sully - Olynyk - Green - AB - Rondo
Bench - Humprhies - Bass - Wallace - Brooks- Lee - Pressey
Extras - Randolph - Crawford - ?

So can this team make the playoffs?? .

Playoff?! You are kidding me?...With PP+KG+Doc this team last year was fighting for 8th spot. The new DA team will be 12-15th in East Conference

I can still see

the Raptors
the Sixers
the Bucks
the Magic
the Bobcats
the Hawks
the Pistons
the Cavs
and
the Wizards

as Eastern Conference teams that we could be better than next season.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas

O you didn't know? Doc, KG, and Pierce were holding Rondo back.

Anyone who believes they will be anywhere close to .500 next year cannot explain how or why. Chalk it up to being a Rondo troll/Celtics homer or they are on LSD.

Stevens is a wild card, he may be in over his head, he may be a genius. But based on the players we have, even if every player has a career year, they can't possibly finish above 35 wins, and that's assuming growth and health play in our favor.

I'd realistically put us in the 25-30 range without tanking. That should put us in bottom 8 range, maybe bottom 5, and essentially guarantee a top 10 pick. We want to get into the top 5, hopefully top 3.
