Paul Millsap to the Hawks
AL jeff to the Bobcats.
Tyreke Evans to the Pelicans.
Mayo to the bucks.
Calderon to the Mavs.

Is anyone else excited that Danny has stayed patient realizing that none of these guys is banner 18 material?

I was worried the Hawks would tank but they're also going after Mo Williams now.
Al jeff means the bobcats vs Celtics is arguably a dead wash or a slightly a Charlotte favored game. (Who do we have that's stopping Al Jeff inside?)

I'm praying that Danny leaves our big man rotation as is whilst trading Humphries and Wallace.
Hopefully we could get back Ben Gordon and a pick for Humphries.

With the Pelicans, charlotte and ATL all signing medicore free agents they get better as we get worse.
We get a higher % shot at a higher pick.  Danny is a numbers guy.  He's a smart gambler and will roll the dice as long as the odds are in his favor.

Anyone else super happy that the Lakers lost Dwight and our lottery friends are hurting their lottery chances? I know I am.
Only downside is that kuptchak might decide to blow the Lakers up now too.  Hope not!
We could be a bottom 3 team quite seriously.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

I wouldn't trade humpheries because he is a huge expiring contract coming off the books for the C's, unless we can get a LaMarcus Aldridge or Kevin Love . Otherwise there is no point in taking back long term salary for Humpheries.

I think the Lakers are going to tank .

Perfect timing to get a good lottery pick next year when Kobes huge contract expires (30 mil).

I am all for trading him to a team with cap space for a TE.

Outside of that, no need to move him.

Isn't Gordons deal an expiring? Works for both teams because Bobcats want to get better and we want to suck.
They can put him next to Al Jeff inside and be okay on the glass and inside scoring.

We keep him he just makes us better. I'd rather have a top 3 pick instead of a top 10 pick over a trade exception.

Celtics will not be in the lottery next season.  They are a 6th seed at worst as it stands now.

Brilliant.

If we can convince the rest of the teams to tank, we'd be NBA champions.

What? Weren't we just a 7th seed? Rondo or no Rondo, we've become significantly worse this offseason.

Have you seen what we've looked like with KG off the floor? Yeah, it's going to be like that for 82 games next year.

Well we definitely aren't a bottom 3 team. And aspiring to be such is pathetic. That mentality is not going to breed you a chip within the next... 20 years.

Edit (to OP): The purpose of it all is not to "get worse," it's to get better by taking a few steps back. There's a big difference there, not just semantics. You encourage a team to suck, that team is going to suck... even next to a stud they play alongside the following season. And, again, you are not getting Wiggins. You may not get a perennial all-star, either; my guess is, the odds may be against you on that as well.

if KG-off-the-floor is the caliber of our starting lineup, imagine how awful we'd be once the bench comes in!  :P Our bench has become our starters and our bench's bench has become our bench. i don't think we're 6th seed material.

We aren't going to ask players to throw the ball in the stands, take shot clock violations, allow players to dunk freely. Whoever we have out there, I surely expect them to to give it their all. I expect Stevens to coach whomever is available to the best of his capabities.

That said, I think Ainge needs to make this roster so bad there is no way they can succeed. And you do it with the draft and free agency in mind. That means taking back expiring has-beens (or never-was'). Whether we get Wiggins or Parker or Gordon or Randle or a Harrison bro, one of those guys can be the next face of the franchise. I think Rondo, Green, and Sullinger are all very talented, but I don't see any as the next Paul Pierce.

You can't estimate our level if you compare it with the last season.
Last season, we were given favorite for ECF at least (on paper). The chemistry wasn't there at first and when they started to play better RR and Sully went down. After that, KG was the only defense guy and PP the only offense player.
This season you will have RR and Sully with an improving JG. Those 3 will give you wins and I believe Lee will play better with this new coach. Also Shav and Olynik will be good for us off the bench. Not to mention that Crash and Kardashian were great player once. I'm guessing they will play great ball for us. They have to take care of their future in nba after their horrible season in Brooklyn.
So, depending of RR and sully condition, I will say we can end up between 6th and 10th.

12. Orlando
13. Detroit
14. Charlotte
15. Philadelphia

Put down the pipe man.

All the teams in bold got better significantly.
We got way worse and we finished 7th seed last season. how are we finishing higher? What big men do we have to protect the rim? What jumpshooters do we have?
Here's your list and who they got this offseason already. You can imagine anyone that signed a bigger free agent will try and get better. (ie Hawks will get Mo Williams, Bobcats will try to get someone else like Humphries off us to help Al Jeff inside).

Let's assume we move Wallace and Humphries.
Starting 5 of Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sully, Olnyk.
How do we beat any of the teams below in bold?

1. Miami
2. Brooklyn
3. Indiana
4. Chicago
5. New York
6. Boston
7. Washington
starting 5 this season:Wall, Beal, Webster, Seraphin, Nene with Okafur and Singleton off the bench. Not a chance.

8. Toronto- Rudy Gay, Kyle Lowry, Demar Derozan, Terrence Ross, Jonas Valancunas.
I'd say it's fair to call that a wash?
9. Cleveland- Anthony Bennett and one more year experience= they are better than us without KG and Pierce.
10. Atlanta= Millsap and Mo Williams (perhaps Teague too?) and Al Horfoard and Korver= arguably better than us with Millsap and Horford.
11. Milwaukee= Larry Sanders, Ilyasova, Jennings and Mayo + whoever else they get.
12. Orlando=added Oladipo. Still suck but they're a 50/50 against us with Vucevic in the paint and Harris, Harrison and their inside presence against our non existent rebounding presence.
13. Detroit=Monroe, Caldwell Pope, Brandon Knight, Maxiell, stuckey, Singler.  Trying to sign Josh Smith, so obviously wanting to get better. If Smith to Houston doesn't happen then they are front runner.
The above players even without Smith vs our starting 5? lol
14. Charlotte= new starting 5
Al Jefferson, Biyombo, Kidd Gilchrist, Henderson, Kemba Walker. That's if we don't send Humphries to them and make them even better.
15. Philadelphia still suck and will be worse than us. Probably the only ones with the Magic that we are slightly better.

In the West?
Suns?
The Pelicans just signed Tyreke Evans so they'll have:
Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, Anthony Davis, Chris Anderson, Lopez...
you think our starting five can beat the Pelicans? You realise bookmakers will have us as clear underdogs right?

You're dreaming if you think we're making the playoffs lol.

RR is free now, no more slow possession offense.
He will be great and will make anyone on this team better.
This year will be JG and Sully year.
I'm sorry but I'll take this 3 against any other best 3 from Washington through Phily.
Looks like some people forgot how good was RR and how even better he can be now with this new coach.
