this says a lot about Kobe that he just could not co-exist with two of the best centers of his time. Remember he never wanted Bynumm either demanding publicly that he be traded for Jason Kidd before they went on their three straight finals appearances.

The only big man that he could get along with is the docile Pau Gasol. He walks all over Gasol and then chastises him for been soft. Well, Kobe, the only reason you can treat him the way you do is because he is soft.

This becomes part of Kobe's legacy - he just cannot co-exist with a marquee big man.

I hate Kobe as much as the next guy, but he coexisted enough to win 5 titles.

I think Kobe could have 8 championships by now if he wasn't such a crappy teammate...that will always be part of his legacy in my eyes....seriously how does one not get along with Shaquille o'neal?

Yeah well Stern Gift wrapped 2 with that Gasol trade. And he was just lucky to play with Shaw and Phil. T-mac could have won with Shaq.

What did Stern have to do with the trade? Jerry West maybe... But Marc turned out to be a very good player. In the end it's hard to say how the trade didn't work out for both teams.

And T-Mac got jealous of this own cousin and bolted, I could easily see him not being a bigger chucker than Kobe was to get his share of the limelight alongside Shaq.

I agree Marc turned out very good. But at the time did you not think that trade was outlandish.
