NO NO NO

Lin/Asik is an awful trade for the Celts... They better be taking back Wallace and we better be getting at least one first for this.

Not a fan at all

@BGRyan: Getting word that Ainge listening to Lin and Asik offers to dump contracts and possibly ship Rondo

this could get really ugly, really fast. Asik's contract has $14 mill in its 3rd year, thats way too much for a back up center.
I want to point this out, because this is a commonly held misconception (due to the jerks over at hoopshype). When he signed a contract with Rockets, the Rockets put in a poison pill so that if Chicago matched it would cost them $15 MM in the last year. However, for the purpose of the salary cap it only counts as 8 and change against the cap.

As for Lin and Asik, to be traded for Rondo in order to clear cap space that doesn't make much sense either. They have two more years each on their deal. I would want multiple firsts and some young prospects like Smith, Jones, Montejuanas or Beverly
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Awful. I like Asik, but that contract is miserable. Lin isn't a player you want unless you're tanking heavily.

Wallace and Asik on the same payroll? Disgusting.

Because defense is half the game, asik is as good or better than, say, david lee, but much cheaper. Still underrated.

He's owed 15 million after next year. Asik is one of the worst offensively I have ever seen, and I don't think his help D is anything incredible.

Pass, pass, pass.

I'm serious if this happens it'll ruin my weekend. They'd have to give me a whole lot of trident layers for that to work. Hopefully DA demands the world and the trade dies...shouldn't be too much to ask knowing Danny.

This just can't be true. Lin is overhyped and vastly overrated. Asik would be nice. This would be stupid and a disaster.

Not a big fan. Asik is a great piece on a contending team, but for a rebuilding squad I don't think he fits.

If we are trading Rondo I want to get back some assets I can build around, not pick up guys who are going to be great complements once we get a star.

I don't see it either. This makes no sense anyway. We can do way better for Rondo. No interest in Lin and we could get Asik for far cheaper than Rondo im sure.

I'm embarrassed that I fell for two separate fake twitter accounts in one thread.

Can someone change the title of this thread to reflect neither Woj nor Ryan said anything about a Rondo for Asik/Lin deal
