In fairness to Broussard, it's never really been "his" team. He came into a situation on first take where Skip Bayless had been the defacto leader and veteran presence going back to cold pizza days. Maybe Rondo has seen something behind the scenes that we haven't. Rondo probably wants to communicate that, if he was in a situation where he was really the go-to guy, Broussard could surprise us.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
Broussard is a joke, so typical of this age of basketball reporting. I laugh when people say he's the next David Aldridge. Once Broussard stops defaulting when the report is on the line, then maybe I'll believe he can be a leader.

Prediction: Broussard will not be an ESPN "insider" for more than another 2 seasons. He's the Blakely of the national scene -- reaching, non-specific drivel.

My insiders tell me that Sully hopes to recover from back surgery and Bradley hopes to improve his offense this upcoming year.

Since this thread has basically turned into a Chris Broussard thread, I'd also like to chime in and ask why this guy still has a job. He consistently breaks news after other NBA insiders, and many of his reports are absolutely ridiculous. "My sources tell me Dwight is leaning towards leaving LA, but it's not a guarantee. He may certainly come back to LA." I mean... what the heck?!

He said it's unlikely he'll stay with the Lakers. He may prove to have been right, after Howard makes his decision known and gives the reasons for it.

Very glad to hear Rondo is on board.  Ainge is going to give Rondo every opportunity to prove he can be a huge part of the future of the C's.

That's harsh.

With the hiring of Brad Stevens as the #Celtics new coach, the #Mavs are expected to see if Ainge is more open to trading away Rondo now.
