The Bulls are rebuffing attempts by LaMarcus Aldridge's agency to bring the Portland Trail Blazers' star in a trade to Chicago, according to sources.

Aldridge shares the same agency as Derrick Rose.

The Bulls are unwilling to discuss a trade centering on Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler for Aldridge.

Aldridge denied last week that he requested a trade from the Blazers.

Man if this is true , Danny needs to go hard after aldridge

Sign and trade for Josh Smith. That starting five could be a title contender.

I'm not sure whether I trade Joakim Noah for L.Aldridge if I were Chicago.

I prefer Aldridge to J.Noah but Noah looks very difficult to replace. I would want to have something lined up simultaneously with the Aldridge trade. Maybe Deng for someone. And I would want to keep Jimmy Butler and would give up draft picks instead.

I wonder if it isn't just easier to keep Noah and build around D.Rose and J.Noah. Try for a sign and trade for a lesser talent like Paul Millsap.

Anything we offer to Portland has to start with Rondo. And since the Blazers have Lillard already I just dont see us being able to get Aldridge.

Doesn't having Lillard mean that Portland won't be specifically keen for  Rondo if they were to do business with the Celtics?

3 way trade, but no point in getting Aldridge if Rondo isn't here

I don't get the Bulls. I really don't. A Rose/Aldridge core would be phenomenal.

I'd trade Noah for Aldridge, and I bet the Bulls reluctantly would too.  It's Noah+Butler that makes it unpalatable for them.  Budding young wing on a rookie deal that can match up with LeBron, Melo, Durant, etc, and makes Deng expendable?  Hard thing to give up.

What I don't get is how agents can try to negotiate trades of their reps.

How does Portland feel about this?

Trade Mr Kardashian for Aldridge?

In a heartbeat, and twice on sunday.

No way Portland goes for it, though.

I wouldn't trade Noah for Aldridge, either. Asking for Butler on top of that? No way.

Noah's defensive contributions are harder to find than what LMA brings.

I don't know about that last bit, but Noah is certainly one of the leaders on that Bulls team.
