as long as avery is on our team, he is our starting shooting guard. so enough with suggesting he is our back up point guard.

No, I dont care how tall avery is, neither did doc or danny when they said he is our pure 2.

I think moving forward, we should try to upgrade our 2 guard spot. I like Avery,  a lot actually. But I think he may be best served as a combo guard off the bench.

I love Avery Bradley, but unfortunately, his offense sucks without Rondo. You can clearly see he was struggling with his offense. He cannot run the point guard position and I have no idea why. Hopefully with a new coach he can develop even more

I think he'll be best-served if he never has to play point guard on offense.

Agreed.

Hes got great hustle and his defense is game changing, which is why I think he'd be a great "change of pace" 6th man.

You can't have all 5 guys be competent everywhere. He's fine as long as we fill in other positions.

Which is why I said we'll have him as our 2 until we get a better one. However, we do not need to look for a better one.

The Grizz have been doing very well with TA at the 2.

And, as you've noted, he can develop. 22 years old is this kid. Same age as many draftees already with playoffs experience as a major piece.

God I hope not. He is WAY over hyped on this board. He would be a good 3 guard off the bench, but having a back court of him and Rondo is bad. They do not stretch the floor, and they just can't shoot. Once AB mins go over 25 his defense go down too, you just can't play that much and maintain aggressive on the D.

If Bradley is a starting SG in 3 years, I'll be completely shocked.  He might start at SG during our tank year... but long-term I see him as a backup PG or a starting "PG by default" in the Derrick Fisher mold.  He's horrible offensively and doesn't have size to play the SG position.  All his energy is spent being a defensive pest and larger guards (Joe Johnson...even Ray Felton) own him.

He's like a rich man's Marcus Banks.

I like this post a lot. Basically summarizes why Bradley is ideally a backup SG.

I still think he needs a bigger PG that can defend SGs to be at his best.

Offensively, he plays great off Rondo, no question.

But I do not like see either of them defending large SGs.
