@WojYahooNBA: Free agent Kevin Martin has reached agreement on a four year, $28 million deal with Minnesota, league source tells Y! Sports.

Minnesota just effectively gift wrapped Kevin Love to the rest of the league. All those C's fans eager for him to wear green should be quite happy right now.

Wow. I think thats a big hit for the Thunder. Whats their next move?

And as far as the Twolves go. I like the Martin signing but still dont get the Budinger deal.

I think they were always meant to let Kevin Martin go. They are right there on the luxury tax line. Difficult for them to keep Martin.

I think Reggie Jackson is their replacement idea. Or maybe Jeremy Lamb. Internal development. Grow their young guards and let them take over those key bench roles.

It'd make more sense for it to be Lamb than Jackson. Regardless, I agree that OKC isn't hurt too badly with this deal.

And how have the Thunder fallen!!! Worst thing they ever did was traded Harden. Westbrook is out for awhile. And now this

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I really like that signing - that had a need at the 2 and Kevin can be a great 2nd scorer for them to complement Love.

2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Sam Presti is probably going to get a lot of backlash for this...

traded Harden for Martin, Martin bolts, they get nothing

Not trying to defend him because that Harden trade was absolutely garbage, but he got Jeremy Lamb, who now has an opportunity to show everybody what kind of player he can be, two first rounders, and a second rounder. That's hardly nothing.

They still got Lamb out of it. He will end up being better than Martin imo.

Yeah, I figured Martin was the one year replacement while they gave Lamb a year to develop. I don't know that he is progressing as they had hoped, though.

For the Wolves, I really like the signing. That is a pretty good deal for him. Last year when OKC traded Harden for him and a lottery pick, I thought it was another coup for them. Obviously, Harden has exploded, but just letting Martin walk seems questionable.

If they are looking to save money, maybe we should revisit the Rondo for Westbrook talks...

westbrook will be fine for the opening of the season. I think Jeremy Lamb will be more than capable of taking up the minutes. The productivity, yet to be seen but a younger rotation with Jackson and Lamb couldnt be too bad.
