Why is everyone so enamored with Monroe and Knight? Drummond is their only attractive asset IMO.
You don't see Monroe as an "attractive asset"?
23 years old, coming off a 16 point, 10 rebound, 3.5 assist season? Has only missed three games in his career?
Knight is more of a question mark, but Monroe is incredibly solid.
Monroe has shown absolutely no sign of development during his entire NBA career. He's definitely a guy who has double-double potential, and is very good with his hands, translating into an above average passer and stealer for his position. However, his focus is incredibly poor, and his contributions can alternate from being a complete non-factor to being the best player on the court.
I'm certainly not going to complain if he was on my team, because at 23, a lot of his issues can be fixed. I may have overblown the statement of Drummond being the ONLY attractive asset, but Drummond is way more appealing than Monroe IMO. Any trade with Detroit for Rondo must require us getting back Drummond to make it worth it.
