Perfect time to get Thibodeau back. One of the best coaches in the NBA in a bad situation... What would it take?

Can he play the youngs to the ground? Or he's another vet coach obsessed by defense?
It's a necessity to play great defense only if you are capable to score some baskets. Or else what's the point?
I'd rather have a young energetic coach that will play up tempo ball to develop our player offense. Big numbers, that's what counts if you want to trade Crash kardashian, etc..
I would love to have thibodeau when celtics are ready to contend, but this season I'm not sure.

Not sure I want Thibs.  Do I respect him and his defense?  Absolutely.  However I am very very concerned with how he manages minutes and seems to hurt his players with those arrangements.

They just signed him to a 4 year extension.  Now is not the perfect time to get him back, but maybe in 3-4 years when we are finishing up the rebuilding process.

Exactly right, the got rid of doc partly because they didnt want to pay a coach 7 million per year to coach a rebuilding effort.  No point in bringing in Thibs now.

Thibs defensive scheme is now the standard in the NBA.  He's one of the four best coaches in the league.  If the Bulls chose their GM over him in a feud, they're idiots.

He'd be a great coach for either a contender or rebuilding team. For the rebuilding Celtics, he'd hold every player accountable every minute they're on the floor, something most coaches on rebuilding teams don't or can't do. 

As far as Thibs playing his guys into the ground with too many minutes, Rose's injury was a freak thing  He has played Rose 37 mpg in the regular season and 41 mpg in the playoffs, the same as Doc and Rondo the past four seasons.  Noah has averaged 33 mpg for both the regular season and playoffs.  Is that too many  minutes for an all star center in his mid-20s?

Would be great to have Thibs coaching this team but I dont think he is leaving his situation with the Bulls anytime soon. He has a chance every year to be COY and with Rose coming back hes got a chance to wing a ring.

Would love to have Thibodeau back.

I think he's a great coach and would do a much better job than Doc did.

I would prefer a respected coach rather than the guy playing the drums with a garbage barrel outside the TD Garden to coach the team, so we don't intentionally "tank" or "rebuild."

DA has to go after this guy real hard. There's no better out there in my estimation. One of the best defensive minds in the game, and he can motivate.

I would .....get him......he is a BETTER COACH than Doc Rivers .....three times as smart......... Doc is celebrity now ( aka Phil) and just a wet nurse for big ego's.

C's should go ALL out to briung THIBS back.....

And Larry Bird in the organization as well..... ( as a consultant /owner) ...above DA


This team is really in need of of some  "SERIOUS" leadership right now.

Even though I wasn't ever a huge Doc supporter, he still was a cornerstone figure and we need a   "REAL " coach for these young guys to respect.
