If in a year or two we are a over .500 team do you think there is any chance any of these guys come back? Or a few years down the line if we age good and Doc is done with the Clips, do you think he ever comes back?

Personally I could see PP and maybe KG entertaining the idea of rejoining the team. Maybe if they retire one year and half way through we look decent they could sign on for half a year. I think for KG we'd have to have a real shot at a title but for Paul, he might just want to do it to retire a celtic. I really doubt Doc or Ray ever come back in any capacity after the way they left.

I'd say doc has the best chance just because he could coach for another 10-20 years.  Who knows what could happen.  But I doubt the big three have more than a year or two left in them, and I doubt we'll be good enough in 14-15 for them to bother signing on for one last hurrah.

No. Pierce and kg yes to sign a one day contract to retire as Celtics. Kg may choose to retire with the Wolves though.

I agree with this.  However, I don't ever want Doc back.

Pierce will be a FA next summer.  If he's done with the Nets, he's going to go somewhere where he can win another title, probably the Clippers.

I have a feeling that Brooklynites are really going to like Pierce, and that he will play out his career there.  Same with KG.  It helps that the Nets' owner will be more generous than any other team when Pierce is due a new deal.

So long as Wyc owns this team even partly that will never happen. Some folks seem to think business men have Lizard DNa or something  ???cuz....you gotta be out of your mind.

Do you think it was a part of the plan oh...say..May 7th when SAS leaked the "crazy" Clips rumor that the Celts would not Have a Coach on July 2nd days before the first Summer league?

Danny just went on a ramble about how really tougher than usual this season has been with so many things to take care of...it's a league...with a schedule...he knows the drill. What he DIDN'T know was he'd be doing a public Circus for 2 precious weeks with a coach he thought he had already.

You have been away for a bit.

The only realistic option I could see would be Pierce returning for one final season. But it would really more likely be one final day.

KG will retire sooner than later, I dont see Ray or Doc coming back? Pierce is the only one I would give a chance to but I wouldn't hold my breathe.

I think KG is retired after this season.  If Paul stays healthy and doesn't loose too much he could come back to the celtics for a one year contract off the bench.  I seem to remember his saying he wanted to play in Italy at the end of his career, if that is the case no he won't be back.  No matter what he'll have his number hung and it'll be a trivia question years from now:
Celtic great Paul Pierce played for what other team at the end of his career?
No one will remember anything but him in green.

I don't want Benedict Allen back.

Not so happy about Doc either but his defection is not as bad as Allen.

One day contracts to PP & KG, retire in green,  retire numbers.

Dude.

Did you see the Clips trade today involving the Chip(s) taken out of the trade for Garnett before the league even started blocking it? The "leak" about Doc who is in charge of those things now...then advising strongly against that trade (specifically Bledsoe) with the Celts plus the "we got no freakin coach on July 3rd" thing  and you think Ray signing ANOTHER contract is not as bad as Doc walking away from an existing one?

They are not on the same level. Ray did nothing nearly as damaging as Doc and I hated on Ray but in hindsight these 2 are not remotely similar and you seem to have it backwards ???

KG and PP's numbers will  be retired;

Don't want Doc Rivers back; Doc really showed his true colors this offseason. He had selfish interests during negotiations with the clips.
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

It really doesn't matter.  Ewing played a year or two in Seattle.  Olajuwon in Toronto.  Karl Malone, as a Laker.  Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (yes, even Garnett) shall always been known as, and remembered as, Celtics.  And thats all that matters.

Ya know...after all that transpired and the total lack of communication in any way shape or form from K.G. who is my favorite Celtic of all time.....I wouldn't assume anything about him.

His Loyalty code could make him retire at the Hall of Fame in a Wolves jersey. Folks should be ready for that.
