I like that danny has said his lineup has to be cleaned up. So far the lineup looks like

Up front: Sully, Olynyk, Humphries, Melo, Bass
Middle: Green, Wallace, Joseph, Datome (if he signs)
back: Rondo, AB, Lee, Brooks, Crawford, Pressey (If kept after the summer leagues)

Too many players. Need at min three and ideally four gone.

ok at least this is a fun game.  I will play.

My guess that Bass, Humphries, and Crawford will be gone.  Humpries would look good to contender as a decent guy on the boards / backup 4.  Bass is a decent shooting small 4 that hustles and can spread the floor a bit.  Crawford gone because he is kind of a knucklehead and DA needs to shed some another body.

Maybe a chance that Lee or Brooks could be a 4th to go.

Humphries, Lee and Bass all go, for salary relief.

Have Randolph and White been cut yet? When do their contracts become full guaranteed?

If they haven't already been cut I think White is released and Randolph gets a chance to stay.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If Humprhies and Bass go, surely they would keep at least Randolph as that work ethic vet guy.

I agree with other that, lee and crawford should go. I'm interested to see what Brooks can do.

It's a complete toss-up for who goes, but we're definitely going to see a center shipped up to Boston. Of what caliber, I don't know. Maybe we strike big with Gortat or Asik, or maybe we simply bring in a stopgap like Pachulia. As it stands though, our only legitimate center is Melo. Randolph and Bass are the only PFs who can legitimately slide over to the C without getting eaten alive, but Bass is a big trade candidate and Randolph isn't even a lock for the roster. And yes, continuing off the last sentence, Sullinger, Olynyk, and Humphries would all be eaten alive if they play center.

What I want:

Stay
1) Green
2) Sullinger

Gone
1) everybody else

Would not be opposed to shortening the "stay" list.

Here are my guesses:

Crawford and/or Brooks will be gone.  I think Danny will try to get a team to give up a pick for Brooks, or possibly use him to dump another contract.  And Crawford is just a small contract that might be easy enough to get someone to absorb to get further below the tax.

I think Lee and Bass will be shopped hard, and perhaps one of them would be attached to Brooks in a 2 for 1 type deal.

There isn't a single untouchable player on this squad.  Not a single blue-chip prospect that you can build a team around.  So really it doesn't matter... the entire lot of them could be playing elsewhere in a few years.

I think Kris Joseph gets waived if that Diatome guy gets signed.

The Celtics have 19 players now.. Rondo, AB, Green, Sully, Hump, Wallace, Olynik, Bass, Lee, Crawford, Brooks, Bogans, Joeseph, Fab, Iverson, Shav, DJ, Pressey and Lamont Jones. We are along ways away from Opening Night but I wonder who is going to make the team. There is going to be many more trades to come, this offseason is just getting started.

i think joseph, dj white, lamont, and a toss up between crawford and fab melo are out. pressey has potential and should stay.

Am I too crazy to think that's a competent roster, a potential nightmare for some?

I'm torn on whether the new coach ought to play Wallace and Humphries at all.  I don't think anybody is going to take them off our hands for what they do on the court.  Hump is an expiring and Wallace's contract might as well be industrial toxic waste.

I think it's important during a rebuild to instill the young players with the belief that they have to earn to get and keep their minutes in the rotation.  Force-feeding minutes to Olynyk, Iverson, and Melo would go against that.  As would playing Brooks ahead of Wallace to back up Green.

On the other hand, doing so would aid our ultimate cause.  Develop future assets and be bad this year to get a nice pick.
