Here are a couple of tweets out of the C's press conference that would seem to suggest that Rondo may not be happy with how things are going for the team:

#Celtics president Danny Ainge: we have gotten trade calls on Avery Bradley, Jeff Green, Rajon Rondo - not looking to deal them.

#Celtics Danny Ainge: have spoken to Rajon Rondo several times, not met w/ him yet. He wants us to sign FAs this year, but not realistic.

I wonder if anyone actually thinks Forsberg knows more about bball than most of the better posters in these forums. But I digress.

I'd have to say I don't have a feel for what Danny's doing at all. There are reasonable arguments for pursuing a myriad of paths going forward.

Danny says calls coming in about Bass and Lee, too, which must make him happy.  (I'd guess it'd be too soon for him to talk about any calls re: Humphries or Wallace?)

this is non-news.  we already have too many players making too much money for too little expected productivity.  there's no room to bring in a FA of any quality nor would we want someone good enough to help win games.

I personally HATE the idea of being a spectator.

If the Celts aren't going to be able to acquire a free agent/s this year, who's to say they'll be able to next year and the year after?

The idea of a successful front office should be to be aggressive.

I am not saying you should necessarily be filling up your cap space with garbage contracts and if you can,  deal your own garbage contracts along the way like Bass and Lee.

BUT I do think Danny should remain in driver mode rather than pedestrian mode when it comes to putting a championship caliber team on the court.

And if signing a free agent this summer enables you to do that, then he should go for it!
we're aggressively going for wiggins. that means having our best player be kris humpries gerald wallace and jeff green

Well, I will say this. If we can keep unloading contracts, to clear up cap space for next year and the year after AND get a top 10 pick for 2014, I can live with that.

Truth is I know the 2014 and 2015 free agent class is better so if we can get rid of contracts like Bass, Lee and maybe even Jeff Green and have favorable picks and cap space for next year/the year after, that would be a decent option.

This is the part that will make things interesting. I think the plan becomes: bring Rondo back and showcase him for a month, then fulfill his wishes (whether to stay or go). There will probably be  fringe contender willing to pay a high price before the deadline to make a run, especially if you can sell them on "playoff Rondo".

Well, most of his articles are rehashes of the obvious.

Though I must say, unless they do think they have their future HC on the staff, going into free agency without one is a surefire recipe for disaster.
