What do you guys think about this trade:

Rondo/Wallace
for
Lowry/Johnson/Fields , 2014 1st, 2016 1st

The raptors have Lowry but they are on the upswing and might want to take the leap with Rondo. That package might be enough for me. They lose enough talent to make them bad-ish and don't get Rondo until mid-season making them a gamble for playoffs. In such a deep draft that is a good bet. There are only 3 playoff spots available for the Raps and they aren't much better than Cleveland, Washington or Detroit.

Also trading Wallace's $20M/2yrs for Field's $8.5M/1yr is pretty good cap relief. We turn Rondo into cap space and a 2014 pick and get expirings and Landry Fields.

Any takers?

I am a proponent not trading Rondo unless we get an All Star in return, but this is a trade I think I can get on board and we should be willing to consider because Kyle Lowry, while All Star level, is a very good PG and a very good replacement for Rondo. Very good defender, solid passer and creator, has to work on efficiency though. Then we get picks, especially in 2014? Sign me up.

I think Toronto is giving up too much though, I hope they budge on this but I feel like the Raps would be giving a lot more.

Also, IP is going to love having Lowry here.

This is a downright awful trade for the Raptors, honestly.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
