The Detroit Pistons are meeting with Josh Smith tonight, as @Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted. The Boston Celtics are also expected to pursue Smith.

Not surprised. I think DA keeps Rondo and goes after Smith hard. Not quite sure if full out tanking is in DA's head

Can't say I'm surprised, but Ainge NEEDS to be careful. Supposedly around 10 teams are interested in Smith. That could almost certainly spell his value getting driven to a point where it simply doesn't make sense. Honestly, Smith's value as it stands might already be too much. Considering all his flaws, I don't think he's worth bringing in unless it's at a good price.

We should trade Rondo to the Pistons for Drummond and Charlie V's expiring deal... then they can sign Josh Smith and roll with Rondo, Smith and Monroe.  They might even have enough to go after Dwight as well.

Yeah, we've seen this film -- in 11-12, when he wiggled himself around in the low 70s or so all the way through mid-January... and then finished shooting 59% for the season.
