I'm curious why so many people are shooting down Robinson so quickly despite never having the opportunity to even show he's the bust people peg him to be?
Are you talking about bloggers or the GMs in Sacramento and Houston?
Sacramento was a train wreck of an organization under the Maloofs. I'm not even going to address that situation.
With Houston, Adelman preferred a stretch-4 all year long. First it was Marcus Morris and Patrick Patterson. They left via trade, and then it was Motiejunas, and even small ball lineups with Delfino and even Parsons sliding over. All year long, they had another athletic forward in Terrence Jones, but never bothered with him. They gave Thomas Robinson a quick look, but that was it.
T-Rob is a victim of getting drafted to an awful organization, and then trading him to a team where he was a bad fit. I'm not necessarily defending him, as he can certainly be a bust, but he hasn't ever gotten a fair chance to showcase his talents.
