Sacramento was a train wreck of an organization under the Maloofs. I'm not even going to address that situation.

With Houston, Adelman preferred a stretch-4 all year long. First it was Marcus Morris and Patrick Patterson. They left via trade, and then it was Motiejunas, and even small ball lineups with Delfino and even Parsons sliding over. All year long, they had another athletic forward in Terrence Jones, but never bothered with him. They gave Thomas Robinson a quick look, but that was it.

T-Rob is a victim of getting drafted to an awful organization, and then trading him to a team where he was a bad fit. I'm not necessarily defending him, as he can certainly be a bust, but he hasn't ever gotten a fair chance to showcase his talents.

I was talking tongue in cheek but I think something is a but off about a top 5 pick being traded twice in one year without one of those trades being a draft night rights trade. I don't think Robinson is going to be a bust but clearly we don't have all the behind the scenes info on this kid just yet and there could be something wrong with him.

Personally, I just didn't want to hear any more about getting Robinson because we already have Sully and getting Robinson was redundant. But that's just me. Others might think him a bust.

I don't care if we had 5 Sullinger's and 5 Olynyk's on this team. If Robinson could be had at that price, I would absolutely do it. Consider what we'd be giving up. The non-guaranteed contracts we'd lose are worthless to us, so the only thing of substance we'd give up for Robinson would be 2 second rounders. Trade value wise, would you rather want a guy who is one year removed from being a top 5 lottery pick in a decent draft, or 2 second rounders? Even if we couldn't find minutes for Robinson, he's still an instant upgrade in asset value.

Oh, but he couldn't --not by us, at least, because we're not under the cap.

Why four? Are you making up for the foreign stashes Portland traded? If so, do those stashes have legitimate potential in the NBA? I don't know much about them so I can't speak for that.

T-Rob is still on his rookie contract. It can't be that hard to deduct what we gain from his contract elsewhere.

Role player or not, T-Rob is still only one year removed from being a top 5 lottery pick. He's a bit undersized, but he has a high motor and is super athletic, qualities teams always take a chance on.
