Someone please check the math…

Over the next 3 years the Celtics save $2.9M Approx…

I’m not sure I buy the expiring contracts argument as the Capt’s and KG’s and Terry’s contracts would have come off the books anyway…I’ll leave that to a capologist…

My contention is that “The Trade” will ultimately come down to the (3) draft picks…you cannot include the pick from the Clippers…that was totally separate…

So, it really comes down to trading the legacy of the Capt and KG for the (3) draft picks and the CHANCE to win…

Time will tell…

Is it “Just Win, Baby” at all costs…no matter the price…even if the price is loyalty and legacy…

For me, Celtic Pride has always chosen loyalty and legacy first…that has always been the choice that was the precursor to  winning…

A minor point. Brooks might be offered a qualifying contract if he improves his defense which may be possible.
