So far, the only thing to complain about regarding the Brooklyn trade is taking back Gerald Wallace's bad contract. Unfortunately, that's not the only bad contract we're taking back. http://thebrooklyngame.com/keith-bogans-brooklyn-nets-boston-celtics-contract-sign-and-trade/In summary, the Celtics are forced to pay Bogans AT LEAST $4.4M per year to make the Brooklyn trade work. Not just that, but his contract MUST be AT LEAST 3 years long. That means as it stands, in the next 3 years the C's will be paying Bogans and Wallace a combined $14.4M each year. Oh joy.

Sign-and-trade contracts must be three years but only the first year must be guaranteed. Sasha Pavlovic had that sort of deal when he was signed-and-traded as part of the Courtney Lee trade.
