I heard it on my way back home from work

tbh, I was mad at Doc at first but after listening to this interview by Felger and Mazz, I felt better and I forgave Doc.

It just got a little emotional for me. A lot of things were touched upon in the interview so let's see how much I remember

Can the Celtics build around Rondo

Doc: He said he didn't know because it depends on the recovery of Rondo. If Rondo can return to the way he was before and still get better then yes. Why? He said because Rondo may be a ball pounder, he wants his teammates to become better players. He loves to share the ball and making the right passes which will attract a lot of free agents in the future.

Also, Jeff Green has to step up and as KG said, he is capable of being one of the greatest SF ever. With this rebuild, he said Jeff Green has to become a star for the Celtics. He left off that he is comfortable that the Celtics are rebuilding with Rondo and Green and that it is not as bad as it seems.

Clippers deal

Doc has nothing but praise for Danny Ainge. Their relationship is still great according to him and that the media blew everything out of proportions. Doc never thought about leaving the Celtics until Danny presented the idea of coaching the Clippers to him. He only thought about either taking a year off and then coming back but coaching another team was never an option for him until recently. About the whole deal going crazy and Doc being upset was also media going crazy. Since being eliminated, he only spent his time at Orlando playing golf and nothing more. Reason why he never made a comment is because a deal was in the works and if he stepped in, it might of ruined the deal. So he kept his mouth shut until the deal was over.

Said Danny was an excellent GM because he was willing to work with Doc and KG and Pierce. Doc was disappointed that the NBA blocked the KG or any future Celtics-Clippers transaction but never thought about forcing the Celtics to trade KG with him to the Clippers. Danny wanted to dump contracts and Doc was one of them as he really wanted to come back for a rebuild. Because of his huge coaching contract, Danny felt it was the right move to dump his salary somewhere else hiring a cheaper coach. At the end, Danny wanted less salary back and more draft picks.

Again, nothing but praises for Danny Ainge.

When asked about his favorite moment in Boston, and you probably guessed the same thing I did. However, it was not the 2008 championship but in fact game 6 of the 2012 East Conference finals where Boston chanted "Let's go Celtics".

Said that as a player and coach, this was the most sentimental moment he had with fans and that this was the reason that this city was a big reason as to why he wants to stay: the fans were great.

Take it as you will, I on the other hand will forgive Doc Rivers and wishes him luck as the new head coach and VP of Basketball operations of the Clippers (not really, I hate the Clippers)

Wyc Grousbeck on @WEEI: "I would say a little disappointment. I'm where Danny was. We thought Doc would be here for length of his contract."

More Wyc on Rondo: "I don't think he had MUCH to do with this." Slightly differs from Ainge: "Rondo has nothing to do with any of this."

Wyc on Doc's move to the Clippers: "It was not our idea."

Wyc: "I don't think he owes us the next 3 years & he left in a way that got us some benefit, so I don't feel misused. I think we're even."

Wyc: "It finally got to the point where he said, 'Maybe it's time,' and we finally got to a point where we agreed with him."

Wyc: "I'm not going to get into any individual players. A lot of decisions will be made today or tomorrow."

Wyc: "If you hear Danny, he's pretty fired up about [rebuilding]. We've got a good thing going, and we're going to keep it going."

Wyc admitted this is "a bridge year."

Wyc: "It started w/Doc. It did not start w/us." Compared deal to old investors joke. Guy 1: "I got a dog for my wife." Guy 2: "Good trade."

Wyc & Danny have discussed a list of possible coaching candidates. Must've happened last night or this morning.

Wyc on Rondo: "I never nearly punched Doc, but I've been annoyed with Doc in the past." Cited Red punching an owner.

More Wyc on Doc: "I don't think he wanted to rebuild with us. I think he wanted to make his win-loss record better." OK, then.

More Wyc on Rondo: "I don't think he had MUCH to do with this." Slightly differs from Ainge: "Rondo has nothing to do with any of this."

Bottom line after that Wyc interview: C's believe Doc forced his way out of town & they're not happy about it. 1st-round pick softened blow.

Somebody is lying. You gotta choose Doc or Wyc.

I think Wyc is CLEARLY stating that Doc initiated the move.

yea at this point, it's really what you choose to believe. I'm a die hard team-first kind of fan, so of course I will always choose the Celtics. It's just Doc and the other players has been here for so long that you get attached. It's kind of tiring so I just choose to believe Doc
