According to ESPN, we get Brooks but don't get Tornike Shengelia.

Meh not sure it really matters.

We're sorting through turds on the beach at this point.

Yep.

We could have at least landed Bojan Bodonkadonk, so we'd have somebody to irrationally place our hopes in.

I don't think they would ever give him up because they think he has star potential.  Last I heard, they planned on trying to use the mini-MLE to bring him over this summer.

If you want a Euro-stash player to have hopes about, maybe you can ask the Magic about Fran Vazquez.

Marshon Brooks included per Chris Broussard.

Exactly.  The Celtics are trading two top-40 players and taking on bad long-term salary, but couldn't even get the one asset the Nets have that has a glimmer of potential.

The Nets, barring a miracle are going to be terrible n 2016, that pick and more than likely the subsequent picks will have value.

The Nets have $62 million committed to Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, and Brook Lopez during the 2015-2016 season.  Add on to that whatever mediocre players they sign to long term mid-level contracts during this brief window of contention and this team will not be a good basketball team in the season that leads up to the 2016 draft nor the 2018 draft.

Even the deep-pocketed Nets might find this repeated offender luxury tax too tough to swallow at that point as the Lakers are finding now.

Marshon is a good young guard to help out.  Ironically we drafted him then Traded fro JJJ ::).  I like MB game and in the risght system could be a great compliment.

He shot 27 percent from three last year.

Brooklyn is in win mode this year and after that it's in down years for them the picks will be good assets if you think ainge don't have a plan your fooling yourself. Brooks will have more value than Evans. Ainge did it once before and I would bet my life on it that he is again going to create a "super team" and build it around rondo. This trade is heart wrenching for sure and I can't seem to get over it but I'm beginning to come to reality and understand this is all for a bigger picture.

In fairness it's only his second year.

Shoot. Was hoping to get Evans, since a contender would gladly trade for his services.

Pre-draft, it was said that the Wolves were after Brooks. I'd love it if Ainge could somehow flip Brooks for Dieng.

I am going back and forth on whether the C's are going to tank this season or not (I tend to think they have too much talent to really tank, unless Rondo stays out)...but if Brooks is coming, that may sway me a bit.  Brooks is the prototypical tanking player.  Just give him the ball, let him score 20 a game, as you rack up the losses.

Your starting backcourt....Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks!

Start those guys, averaging 112 per 100 possessions and giving up 130.

The bring in the Pitbulls...averaging 72 per 100 possessions and allowing 94.

Rondo sits until April.

Can we immediately flip him for JaJuanna Johnson?

Quick, get 'em Danny boy! Maybe Austin could even make it happen.

No way. JJJ is currently signed up to be the first guy off the bench for my summer rec league team, I don't want to lose him.
