Meh not sure it really matters.

We're sorting through turds on the beach at this point.

Yep.

We could have at least landed Bojan Bodonkadonk, so we'd have somebody to irrationally place our hopes in.

I'd have been cool with Teletovic.  Could be a Matt Bonner sort, at least.

I thought we were getting Kris Joseph instead of Shengalia?  LOL who do I believe?  I think I prefer Brooks to either Joseph or Shengalia but Evans is probably more useful as a tough guy/rebounder than Brooks.  Especially with Sully's back still in question.

I heard: Shengalia and Evans are OUT, Joseph and Brooks are IN.  I too would have held my nose and taken Evans because he can rebound, but Joseph may be the best of the bunch.

Whatever...

would have much prefered Evans to Brooks or Joseph.  Evans could at least start at center and rebound which is what we need rather than 2 rookie centers and Melo as our options.

Brooks seems redundant to Crawford but at least he's a good scorer in the open court.  playing with Rondo will make him look pretty good.

It's Wallace, Hump, Bogans, Joseph, Brooks, and the 3 firsts plus the option to swap firsts with them in 2017.

I'd so much rather play Crawford, Crawford is just a better player for sure.

The deal is KG, PP and Terry

for Humphries, Bogans, Brooks, Wallace and Joseph...3 #1s

Joseph will be released or won't make the team...PRAYING they find new homes for humphries and Bogans

Think the keep Wallace Brooks

I don't see Jordan Crawford on this team at this point..

pretty safe to say Iverson will make the team because there is just no size other than him and olynyc.

I've heard talk about Ben Gordon for Humphries as this was a possible deal earlier when he was a Net.

I am going back and forth on whether the C's are going to tank this season or not (I tend to think they have too much talent to really tank, unless Rondo stays out)...but if Brooks is coming, that may sway me a bit.  Brooks is the prototypical tanking player.  Just give him the ball, let him score 20 a game, as you rack up the losses.

i tend to think Danny is asking for a first round pick in 2014 for rondo...and if he gets close...rondo is gone

I don't think Rondo ever plays another game in Boston

not sure if hump + wallace + brooks +bogan + joseph is enough salary

paul + kg + terry next year will make 15.33+12.47+5.23 =33.03 mill

next year hump + wallace + brooks +bogan + joseph = 12+10.1+1.2+0.89+.89 =24.99 mill

they have to 26.3 mill (33/1.25-0.1) to make the trade work, they better be careful of trying to spilt the trade, stern could say trades are connected and reject. even if you spilt the trades and are allowed to, can't see it would work salary matching wise

Heard this morning on weei that they change the trade . Evans isn't coming to Boston, instead Brooks will be

Another decent young prospect makes this trade look pretty darn good .

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think we only have room for one of Brooks or Crawford and I think I may like Crawford. I know Minny was interested in Brooks a few days ago. I wonder if they would be willing to give up something of value for him. I understand that with his regression last year (ie JJ playing for the Nets), his value has also gone down, but he is still a decent prospect and I'm happy he is in the deal.

Until July 10 is here, I'm afraid we are going to hear players in and out of this proposed deal, so I will reserve all feelings about it until it's OFFICIAL!
