A fast paced system will only accelerate Wallace's next injury. Just face reality. The guy is washed up, and for a guy whose game depended entirely on his athleticism, he's a liability both financially and on the court right now. In addition, he plays the position of two of our most promising young players in Green and Sullinger. I guess he could soak up backup minutes behind those two given that Bass also gets moved, but that certainly won't up his trade value to a point where a team would bite. Honestly, I think Ainge is the only GM in the league who was willing to take on that contract.
To put it in perspective, it's a widely known fact that Bargnani has one of the worst contracts in the league and the Raptors are basically BEGGING other teams to take him. Unfortunately, Bargnani is still relevant at least. He's got a great offensive skillset for a big, and can actually score 20 points for a crappy team. Wallace? He can't do anything useful.
