Analysis: The Celtics are in full rebuilding mode, but I'm not sure how that affects the draft. I keep hearing four names: Adams, Dennis Schroeder, Larkin or Olynyk. Over the course of the past 24 hours, it seems like Olynyk is gaining momentum there. He's a very skilled big man who would add size and scoring to the Celtics' front line.

I don't know, but this is somewhat painful:

he had the C's taking Jimmy Butler two years ago.

Larkin's the one I'm hoping it's not.

I'm a fan so I'm happy with this.  I feel like he can pick up things and become a solid enough defender.  Offensively he can shoot, dribble, runt he floor, and pass.

We never look offensive with bigs really so there is a lot of appeal to me.

Dieng is the only pick that makes any sense and is realistic.

Agreed, I think him and Sullinger would play very well together.  Both great at ceiling their men, carving out space, passing from the high post and hitting jumpers.

I think Olynyk will eat teams alive in the pick and roll with Rondo. This move would leave the Celtics in need of a rim protector but I think the areas he excels in will cover up the deficiency.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

In event Boston moves back from No. 16, Danny Ainge brought guard Ray McCallum to facility for workout on Wednesday, league sources tell Y!

If they move back in a crappy draft I will throw up. Then again I'm doing the nba draft drinking game so I might throw up anyway.

I don't know why you could be so bothered by them moving back if you say the draft is crappy.

I mean I'd rather just pick at 16 but if we get something else out of a deal where we also move back so be it.

Yes I agree.

I think we are so hung up on defense for big men that we don't acknowledge offensive strengths.  And I'm a defense first type of guy so I get that but it needs to be said.  He has a nice offensive skillset right now already.  He reminds me of a taller Scola in a lot of ways.

And yes he and Sully would be a nice passing duo together.

I've been hoping that Olynyk winds up in Boston.  Pairing him with Sully and Melo seems like a great fit.

Please danny do ur magic and get multiple picks.

Mcallum is a really nice looking pg. Smart, has size and athleticism is at westbrooks level. He prob can finish better than any pg around the basket

TP interesting so looks like we're maybe going big def one of our weaknesses especially given KG is most likely gone

I can see Danny wanting Olynyk to give us the same pick and pop game that KG did (assuming KG is gone), with some posting as well.

Dunno about that guy though - it seems like players like that get eaten alive by the superior athleticism and strength of NBA players.

That's my worry as well. His ceiling is Scola right? Which is good for the 16th pick, but I'm not sure he holds up. Scola only held up for a few years himself.
