Out Lee, Avery Bradley, Bass, Sullinger, Fab Melo, and two firs rounders.

For Aldridge salaries work. The only way I'd want to trade for Lamarcus is to keep Green and Rondo. Maybe Portland can find a better deal, if not call us up.

That's a lot...

I'm not sure if it's worth it. I'm high on all of those players. If we kept one of Bradley or Lee, though, it'd be better. Preferably Bradley.

The Blazers would laugh at you.  You win with stars and you give them none.  If they trade Aldridge it will be for something like the Cavs could do, Thompson, Waiter  and the #1 overall pick.  He's an All star and you give them no real standout players...

Not enough for Aldridge. Portland need a star coming back their way.

I would trade Jeff Green, Avery Bradley and Sullinger for Aldridge and that still might not be enough.  Aldridge is a legit All-Star and can protect the rim which we saw how important that was in the playoffs.  I would keep KG and Pierce, run it back one more time with Aldridge.  Then I would draft Muhammad at 16 if available to back up Pierce.

Future is Rondo, Muhammad, Aldridge

Rondo/Terry
Lee/Terry
Pierce/Muhammad
Aldridge/Wilcox
KG/Aldridge

I'd do this in a heartbeat. The problem is there's no way Portland said yes. Sure they need depth, but they're not going to trade away their best player for 5 different pieces and two uncertainties. They're spreading out their value way too much in what they're getting back, and that's a big no-no when it comes to trading.

If you want Aldridge, probably the best shot is to wait and hope Sullinger recovers and looks like a guy who can be a 15ppg and 10rpg starter so that he can be the centerpiece of a trade.

If that happens, why trade for Aldridge?

Can be, not will be.  You also have to consider defense in comparing the two players.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Sully is a better defensive rebounder than Aldridge as is.
I like Marcus Smart
