The Magic are studying players that are projected to be selected late in the lottery and the middle of the first round.

Bradley, #16 and the Clippers pick for #2, draft Oladipo or McClemore as our SG of the future.

I like Bradley, but I believe in trading dimes for quarters, and think both Oladipo and McClemore have higher ceilings. I think in the right organization, McClemore is an All-Star, and Oladipo gives you Iguodala level production at least.

I'd love that trade, Oladipo.

Why not just get the half-dollar that is Ricky Ledo later on in the draft, & keep the 22 year old Avery Bradley on the roster ?

So Ledo is a half-dollar and Oladipo is a quarter? You lost me, possibly with sarcasm?

In my strained analogy world, the 2 picks and Ledo are all dimes, Bradley is maybe 15 cents and Oladipo is a quarter =).

Oladipo is going to be great. If I'm Danny Ainge I'd do everything I can to be able to draft this guy.

Sarcasm at it's internet finest ;)

Right now though, who knows who is what ?  For all we know, Ledo might be the best to come out of this draft.  You never know.

If i was the celtics if move up to get Nerleons Noel at #2 see him being a really good fit with rondo.

Not happening though. Celtics want next years draft.

Hehe, ok well at least I smelled it. With that said, that's part of the appeal with Oladipo. He might not be an All-Star but I think he has an extremely high chance of being a contender-worthy starter for the next 10 years.

Rondo, Oladipo and Sullinger would be a tidy little core than would only make around $20M each of the next two years... I see Green, Lee, Terry and Bass all as moveable contracts if/when we needed the cap space. In theory you could have Rondo, Oladipo, Sullinger and a max-level guy, with still enough money to fill out the roster and go over the cap for extensions.

Bradley #16 is no where near enough to move up to #2.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Plus a future 1st.

Apparently Minnesota has been shopping Derrick Williams, #9, #26 for a top-5 pick, which I think is comparable value.

That's drastically overpaying for a top 5.  good example of continued mismanagement in Minny.

I would love to get Mac with that pick.
Small Forward from the University of Kansas #44   Ben MaClemore

That might help just a bit with that pain of losing Pierce

Wasn't there a recent rumor of a potential trade between the magic and c's?

I don't think I've ever seen a draft where so many teams with high picks were willing to trade down.

PS Oladipo is the evolutionary Tony Allen and I'd love to have him.
