Say what you want about Noel coming off the injury, but everyone said Davis wouldn't amount to anything until he completely dominated on the defensive end. The ceiling for Noel is a younger, quicker, and more athletic Marcus Camby. Some people also have him listed as a up and coming Tyson Chandler, or a skinnier Ben Wallace.

But realistically, I think we should go for Shabazz at any costs. If we can somehow grab a coach who can command his attitude, terrible team play, and his work ethic. We can really get a superstar out of him.

I don't understand why teams are ranking Otto Porter who'd look to be a good defensive wing, above him when the ceiling on Shabazz is 10 stories higher. Whereas Porter is 20 stories below. At best Porter will be an above average defender with the ability to finish well, and a nice mid range J.

I'm praying to the basketball Gods that Stern allows us to get Shabazz. Let Shabazz lose his credibility, and let him drop to 16. If he's open YOU NEED TO TAKE HIM AT ALL COSTS!

Also take into account the horrendous system that UCLA has. It really negated the finesse ability of Shabazz.

I really am keeping my fingers crossed that the age, work ethic, team play, and attitude along with his tourettes drops his value to 16. We can always use a 2nd round pick that we can acquire through two or one of the China men to pick up a back up PG.

Victor Oladipo bandwagon, still got seats available. Possible future all-star, certain future fan-favorite for highlights and awesome defense.

Okay Oladipo/Noel/Shabazz, the only 3 I can see having superstar potential.

I do see Oladipo as a future Allstar, but if anything more of an All Defensive First/Second team.

I think he needs to work on a lot of his offensive game to really become an Allstar. But the killer instinct, and scoring prowess that Shabazz has is the reason I'm salivating at us pursuing him.

My guess is that Otto Porter and Dennis Schroeder will end up being the two best players to come out of this draft.

Oh, come on, IP.  Are you some kind of a wizard?  Not only did you cast a spell on Chad Ford, but you just cast one on Monkhouse, as well?  Not fair.

Lol. I still think Shabazz and Noel will be the two superstars in the future. Noel might have a wavering uncertainty due to his histories of injuries.

I would say picks wise on the safest with low to moderate ceilings are Porter, and Bennet. Moderate to very high, Noel, Shabazz, and Oladpio.

I still don't see any superstars or franchise players in this draft.  I think this draft may produce a total of 4-5 all-star appearances by the lot of them.  I think there's depth in terms of some good starters and a decent amount or role players that could have careers lasting 7-10 years which isn't shabby.

I just don't see the star quality this year.  no really complete players

I agree with Shabazz, although I could be wrong. He's not as athletic as people thought he was coming out of HS. But he has the mentality of a superstar and the work ethic of one as well. If he lands in the right situation and keep his drive, he will be an All Star.

I see Alex Len as a star as well, borderline All Star but might not make it, but will have a very successful career.

He's too skilled, his body frame is already NBA ready and has more room to grow and he moves very well for a big man.

I'm thinking he's going to average 14-16 ppg, 10-12 rpg, 1 blk on around 48-52% shooting in his career. That I think is his NBA floor, I believe he'll be a bit better than those numbers.

Noel is a 100 pound center who will have an injury-riddled career.  I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot Noel.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

I'm fine with that. I actually think Shabazz is going to be one of the busts of this draft. I think Noel will be good, borderline all-start. I see Oladipo being an All-Start.

I don't think Shabazz is going to be more than a fringe rotation player, or a starter on a bad team. Don't like his game, and his numbers are less than stellar.

I might be the biggest Nerlens Noel fan on this blog and even I don't see Noel as a franchise type player. I expect a Marcus Cam by type career out of him.

Other good players in this draft are McLemore, Oladipo, Len, and Porter but I really don't see any sure hit, All Stars amongst this draft. And I don't really see anyone being a very good player for the next 2-3 years minimum. I just don't see any player coming out and making contributions to a decent team anytime soon.

You mean their first  college games ever. Massive knock on Len is he produced against Noel and Zeller but was mediocre pretty much the rest of the time. Why didn't he dominate non-name players? Good question to ask.
